It is definitely alot of work. I have about 20 cords of 8 foot logs in my yard. I bit off more than I can chew. I didn't realize how out of shape I am. I'll get in shape slowly but surely. I can't afford help so I'm working at it. You have my respect my friend.

Joe's Firewood Videos II yes they are piled on each other. I have the same problem you had. I'm overweight and my lower back gets sore. I'm coming back I just have to keep plugging. It'll get easier.
Hi Joe. You make it look easy. Im considering packing up everything and moving to a small house in the woods and buying a splitter. I'll keep watching.
You should put splitter closer to place where you put it. Jest place is between pile and place where you put it. And on angle to "border" between this two location. If theres no place for this just manage where unload pile of wood. Localization and placement is crucial for efficiency in processing business. Best idea is to stack it directly fron splitter. And do not do this anymore cuz I'm stacking in holzhouses. Most of time i'm literallu push it on car and stack on it. (Its higher than car). Client measures and check wood before unloading.
@@JoesFirewoodVideosII do typu van manage and choose localization. Choose localization. Then put splitter and look for angle od splitter and cord typu will stack. From splitter table directly stacking. Then you will get place where to unload. Key is easy load on on splitter and directly with no step stack it. I was doing this with half of cord and then move. Its most efficient. Or you put splitter in "central place of cord" - half of its longines and then split.

Almost every time I watch your videos (which is every day) I want to go out and split some firewood. It doesn't always happen but it gets me in the wood cutting mode. I run a boiler for the house and shop so I go through 13-16 cords a winter plus sell a little on the side. Good thing I enjoy it I guess. As always👍

We can but you’re not supposed resell it plus their rules on what you can cut make it not worth it.

It’s mostly nice being self employed
Back in the 80s, for a $20 permit, you could cull 10 t0 20 cords a year in selected areas
Hi Joe, saved this video to watch later. Havent felt well today. ☺

Good video Joe. I'll sell a few cords but need most of my wood to use myself.

Yeah if you have a boiler you got to do the wood yourself, or you might as well just buy propane.
Hey Joe! The more new customers you get equals loyal customers!
I would say that at least 75% of customers who buy from me become repeat customers.
Wish I could get that much wood
Yeah right.

That's a lot of area to cut, probably lots of good logs too.
What length do you cut your firewood? What's you best type wood to sell? Thanks for the informative video!
I try to cut everything 16" but we're not robots. There's too many good hardwoods around here to pick a best one.

Yep, Mike loves cutting and I love splitting. He just needs to show up more, only been here 3 times in last 2.5 weeks.

I had a guy pay me $350 for 1 level bed load of wood.
I normally charge $160

He bought those blocks. The wood he bought from the same guys last year was 10X better than these loads.
