Ive been curious about these. when my favourite local coffee shop came online, they did cold brew with these and ice in the dripper. it always turned out really nice.
I'm not convinced the dripping apparatus is needed at all, I'm beginning to think it's all cargo cult and/or ego. Just put medium coarse (pour over) grounds and water in a sealed glass container, stir it, stick it in the fridge at least overnight, filter the grounds out the next morning. I've seen 18 hrs to as much as 48 hrs recommended, and anywhere from 4:1 to 11:1 water to coffee ratio by mass. I'd start with 4:1 and 18 hrs, so do it in the early afternoon.
In theory the drip based method should be less bitter since it's not quite percolated but instead feeds through the bed one drip at a time. I use a puck puck and still need to dilute the result to get a delicious cup. 1 part cold brew two parts soda water. If you drop the soda water from a height you get a nice foam similar to nitro brews.
Is the (non-smart) Gina worth it? It looks great for pour over and slow drip, and it is georgous, but quite pricey! Edit: Also, a full review would be nice!

My French press with filtered water overnight in the fridge works great for me and cheap as hell 👍
I got mine for about 1 dollar and i brew hot and cold coffee and make milk foam with it better than my espresso machine😁
Fun fact: it used to be that people served cold brew hot, until people forgot that was possible and makes perfect sense.
The OG Toddy cold brew coffee maker !
Best RUclips coffee shorts period
Slow and steady wins the race 😁

Bingo just snobs trying to out snob themselves.
putting ice cubs in the dripper may have more fun at the result, may take more than double of the time for brewing is the down side
Nice idea. Hell, you could fill it with crushed ice and set it up before you go to bed. Wake up to a super refreshing glass of coffee.
Finally some love for Gina!!
Very nice video, also can someone tell me name of song?
This coffee is called „Cold drip“. Thats different from ColdBrew because there is no immersion.
Anyone knows what is a good starting point for cold drip with Comandante?
I’m struggling getting a good tasting cup of cold brew out of this machine. Any advice ? I think I may be using to light of a roast
General cold brew recipe, mix 1part coffee to 2 part soda / sparkling water. Really good!
What is that lil device you use for the drip?
Gina by Goat Story
Its a stopcock
How would you compare this to something like the puckpuck

Easier on the stomach
just curious, why wouldn’t you put the paper filter on the bottom lol
the paper filter keeps the grounds from floating up i think
Maybe oxidation ?
The filter on top is for evenness of water distribution, the real filter is the mesh at the bottom
How long did it take to brew?
I think its a drop per second miltiplied by the amount of water
Love these video shorts Spro! 👍🏻🙏🏻
Start brewing in the morning to drink at night. Good concept
What’s this dripper called and where can I buy it?
Gina from goat stories
But save your money and buy the manual version. I don’t know if they’ve updated it, but they companion app and scale is not worth the extra
250 USD though. for something that is worth 10 USD in materials
the paper filter is so useless and has no function at all..
Not cold brew. This looks like Chinese water torture for the coffee.
Please rinse your filter first .you guys break my heart
How long did it take?
A week and half for the most excellent 1 cup of coffee. 😂
Hahaha probably 😂

@@armandosancoy8998 I don’t rinse small filters, a lot of folks don’t rinse any, and honestly the difference is solely psychological.
