I just went to your raverly page and read what you said about not being able to go a day without yarn and a hook in your hand and I'm sending you a very big hug for that. I'm the only one in my family that has yarn and hook. to them I'm well weird. I don't think they mean it in a bad way, but they just don't understand it. I've tried explaining that I feel the most like myself, the most at peace and the happiest when I am creating and even watching craft you tubes. and that REALLY don't understand when I buy yarn on sale and have a few projects going at the same time. to know that I'm not alone in all this is so comforting and inspiring! thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and feelings on this!!!😘
Great idea and tutorial - you made it look so easy. I started making my own slippers about 1yr. ago but couldn't find affordable soles. Now, I can do something reasonable to protect the bottoms from fraying and snagging.
These soles are so inspiring because one can take an already finished pair, then just attach this attractive, practical, secure, genius sole. I love using easy to stitch fishing line because of its many creative applications.
Thanks this video was very helpful. I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I wasn't pinning the rope down nor glueing it. I realized maybe the rope I was using was also too thin. I was trying to make a ballerina type slipper.
Thanks for the upload .I was wondering how I make soles for my slippers without buying flip flops and cut them down. really nice. thank you very much have a great afternoon.
Wonderful tutorial!! I was wondering about the traction of the silicone sole. I have had some shoes and slippers that did not have much traction and I have fallen.
White glue isn't very waterproof, but other than that me likey. I ruined 3 pairs of crocheted slippers just on the carpet. I like the idea of having something more substantial on the bottom. 👍
Sock pattern here: ruclips.net/video/KnWJER7kT9k/видео.html You should be able to make it longer in the foot to fit adults. If you mean for an adult foot that is approx. size 6 ladies.
I was thinking the way they start on the flip flops from the other sites like Wool and the Gang where she is actually single crocheting right on to the flip flop after she has made the holes.
Oh, I see.... well, again, only if stitches were added somehow to the rope sides, or along the edges if high sides were not added. I don't see any other way to work directly onto the rope.
Re watching I need a new pair of these , my flip flops I bought from the stores have all been breaking like crazy this year . So I want some thing that will last me longer then 5 minutes
wow these are sooo cool!!! i love to crochet and will definitely be trying this. the silicone is it the same silicone used in kitchens or bathrooms? or is it something different for fabric? i cant wait to make some ill post a pic when i do thankx for sharing.

They are not as slippery as leather.

That looks a lot better then the flip flop soles, but what I was wondering is can you start the slipper from the Para cord?
I have never tried paracord... but I don't see why not!

I found a method where tou used washing line and wool and crochet, started but now can't find the sole pattern. Can you guide me to it please.

Once finished and glued, what you put to waterproof, is a liquid rubber? I'm brasilian and I live in Brazil. How can I get this product? thanks.
I used silicone... you can usually find it at home improvement stores... and it is used to seal around sinks and bath tubs.
cold silicone
what's a cold silicone?
Okay, I got it, thank you!

Yes, same silicone as for kitchens and baths.
So cool 🌹🌹
Amazing
is the silicon sealant so you can wear them outside?
Yes, it makes them water resistant, and also adds more durability to the soles.
geniale un caro saluto 😘
Can we wash it daily?
I would not put it in a washing machine... but hand washing... yes.
