They talked about it, in the last couple podcasts I'm pretty sure, that Geoff and Gavin had been making the background gameplay footage, mostly Geoff. And I think they said at the point of that recording the ones Gavin made hadn't been put out yet but were about to be used.
@ Gavin regarding the gauge tapping thing: in aircraft, it happens all the time. For old "steam" (analog) gauges, you have to tap on the altimeter if you want an accurate reading. It's called 'friction', and it is definitely a thing, especially when certifying them. I imagine they care about the same sort of thing for the same sort of reasons in submarines with old analog gauges.
Yes Gavin, tapping gauges to fix them is a thing in real life. An example can be found in steam engines, wherein the small pipes inside the pressure gauge can get clogged up with limescale from the boiler, tapping it can help loosen the blockage and get a more accurate reading.
I'm loving the dynamic of this over f**kface, because it feel less like there's a divide between "talent", "producer" and "audio tech" and that it's just a bunch of people who enjoy doing this, hanging out and having a good time. Also I feel like I need to watch these on RUclips Premium and be subscribed on Patreon to double support you guys! ❤❤
As someone afraid of heights who just got back from standing on the glass floor in the CN tower, there's definitely queasiness and butterflies, as your brain tries to calculate what you're seeing below you. But without the risk of falling, there wasnt really any fear.
When I was a kid, my great-aunt had lakeside property, with a boat house that had a deck on the roof at top-of-wall height. When the extended family gathered for the 4th of July party I, my brother, and our cousins (ages 9-25) would jump off the deck (maybe 12 feet above the water? Think standard shed height plus a foot or or below the floor two to allow for varying lake levels) into 8-foot deep water. Sometimes we'd carry our old bicycles up the ladder and ride down the slope of the roof (on the bit that went all the way from peak to eaves beside the deck) into the lake and then swim out and tie a rope to the bike and drag it out, we weren't leaving a minefield of scrap to impale the younger kids.
is the newspaper offlimits to buy in the 3 things since that would give you access to all the words or is it that you have to use all the words on the thing you buy?
Andrews height talk makes me think of my fear of semi-survivable heights. Like 1-4ish stories you may still survive a fall and I get the uneasy feeling, but mostly above 5 stories I'm like whatever if I fall I'd be dead pretty instantly so it's fine
In 1972 a flight attendant fell over 33,000 feet from an airplane and survived. That's the most extreme example recorded but there are many others. There is no height that guarantees instant death if you fall from it.
You seem to be a hater, a bully and can't spell a simple name. Barley a cliff.. no cliff jumper would call it a cliff. Not much airtime from that little thing You clearly don't like it so don't watch.
I watched a lot of a certain streamer trying to speedrun peggle a year or so ago. The guys at the top are absolute gods at that game. Peggle 2 doesn’t seem to have as active of a speedrun community, but it (along with tournaments) did/do exist
I think that was just some editing error, it doesn't sound like anything they would've had to bleep (nor is it how they'd normally bleep things if they did have to).
For the Talking Animal draft, what about MVP- Most Valuable Primate? Did HE talk? Or just oo oo ah ahh Nick noises? It alllll comes full circle, bay-bee
Before the end of the year Geoff should have to make a thumbnail in advance based on a topic he chooses then bring up that topic in the episode and see if anyone correctly identifies it as the thumbnail topic
12:38 after seeing the absolutely justified photo of a perfectly sized cliff for cliff jumping, this is one of those episodes where I’m angry with Eric in the first 10 minutes.
Im really happy to see you guys together im sorry for clowning of geoff. Idc about ur politics just strive and be happy bro. Glad michael and gavin are still your friends. Love you guys thank you for so much and ill be on this commentary supporting how i can.
can we get a background video of gavin driving around the gta five map in cinematic view and not hitting anything. full lap in cinematic view only you can switch the camera around but no pressing b and leaving cinematic.
To be fair to Andrew I binned my first Dark Souls 1 character after 65 hours because I'd completely messed up by leveling all the wrong things and not knowing how the game worked. Elden Ring is way deeper than DS1 so 200 sounds about right. Not knowing you could two hand weapons though... that's a tough one sir.
For the talking animal draft. Can brian griffin be used. There was 1 episode where stewie and Brian travel the multivers and for 1 gag they are r a real baby and Labrador and brian says 1 line "push the button" does that count?
Tonys milk chocolate is really good. Just putting that out there. I just discovered them like a month ago or so at walmart, well worth the price (the bars are huge).
I think the most frustrating thing to me about this animated not animated argument is Geoff has worked in production for like 20 years and can't think of the words "live action"
What about the difference between animals that other animals can understand, animals that talk to the human characters, and animals whose thoughts are audible to the audience?
DDR has a pretty high skill cap. id be one of the best for about 2 years. Chris Chike would be the GOAT for over a decade before he finally had contenders.
The chained together video has such a legacy and hasn't even come out yet
It's my favorite regulation gameplay and I have not seen it!
I guarantee their problem was following instructions
@@cliffordcrimson7124 Have you seen the game? The instructions are just 'go up'
Based on the Pico Park video that is exactly the problem.
@@cliffordcrimson7124or a certain someone was impatiently yelling instructions at everyone.
The elden ring stream was genuinely insane, it wasn't like vague elden ring tips and tricks, it was like hearing Andrew find out about caps lock live.
And he beat the entire base game and most of the DLC like that? I cant, genuinely cant believe it.
Gavin could've hidden two or three cans of Dr Pepper in that PS5 box.
A whole box of Monopoly
What a callback
That short story with store items bit was surprisingly great
Geoff's laugh fills me with the most comfortable and reassured feeling of bliss.
Snorted when Gavin said “that old?” 11:36
Geoff's short story was way better than it needed to be
Quetzalcōātl, the legendary winged serpent, sloppily eating a plate of sandwiches in an infinity pool
Clockin in my listener card here to say how much it fills me with joy to hear Geoff so happy starting these episodes.
Love that Geoff just walked around San Andreas for 12 minutes for this one.
Is it Geoff recording the backgrounds? I always assumed it was Andrew for some reason. Either way they’re great
Just a lovely walk to start a podcast, if your out and about walkin its like havin company, almost hahaha
They talked about it, in the last couple podcasts I'm pretty sure, that Geoff and Gavin had been making the background gameplay footage, mostly Geoff. And I think they said at the point of that recording the ones Gavin made hadn't been put out yet but were about to be used.
Geoff said that the only reason he plays single player games is for recording background videos for Nick.

The grocery store short stories were f**king AWESOME. I want to do those now.

I think andrew's cliff was less 'cliff' and more 'ledge'.
it was a-lleged-ly a cliff :D
Andrew wears it well for 2006 years old :P
As someone afraid of heights who just got back from standing on the glass floor in the CN tower, there's definitely queasiness and butterflies, as your brain tries to calculate what you're seeing below you. But without the risk of falling, there wasnt really any fear.
"Life cannot be reused" wise words
Geoff's story sounded like one of those underground goth poetry readings.

Honestly crazy that Andrew beat any bosses in Elden ring considering he doesn't even understand some basic mechanics
Andrew posting that picture was maddening.
The shopping short stories are absolutely incredible and completely insane.
I would love to see them do a heart rate monitor episode where they all wear one and have them talk about something they all hate.
The best part of the Ultimate Regulation Fear is the acronym URF. Either a very fun sound or more permutations such as U R F**ked
Was able to watch and help Andrew out during the elden ring stream!! Super fun and glad to have caught it!
is the newspaper offlimits to buy in the 3 things since that would give you access to all the words or is it that you have to use all the words on the thing you buy?
The ultimate regulation fear is the Dragon. It’s a combination of our 4 primal fears: Snakes, Bears, Birds (more specifically hawks) and Fire
I am SO down to watch them do puzzles
Andrews height talk makes me think of my fear of semi-survivable heights. Like 1-4ish stories you may still survive a fall and I get the uneasy feeling, but mostly above 5 stories I'm like whatever if I fall I'd be dead pretty instantly so it's fine
I have this too, looking out a plane window is fine, but looking down the heights you mentioned does me in
In 1972 a flight attendant fell over 33,000 feet from an airplane and survived. That's the most extreme example recorded but there are many others. There is no height that guarantees instant death if you fall from it.
1:02:45 yes! The slump gauge for instance in a concrete mixer truck.
Is this a placeholder title? The Spotify version is completely different
What was the title?
Honestly I completely believed they'd just name an episode "One thing || the other thing" and thought they'd pulled some double release tricks
Didn't they mention previously of having exclusive content between different streams? Sounds like it was the title this week lol
Geoff's story was actually really good??
18:45 how Jeff got away with asking “is it carbonated“ is astonishing.
You seem to be a hater, a bully and can't spell a simple name.
Barley a cliff.. no cliff jumper would call it a cliff. Not much airtime from that little thing
You clearly don't like it so don't watch.
I'm so pumped for this fear diagram. We gotta figure this thing out.
It sounds like Andrew wants to summon the Cenobites.
Andrew's "cliff" looks roughly 10 ft.
That's about a Shaq and a Dinklage!
i would love to see gav and geoff make the 3d puzzle. im not a huge gaming video fan but id watch this live
I watched a lot of a certain streamer trying to speedrun peggle a year or so ago. The guys at the top are absolute gods at that game. Peggle 2 doesn’t seem to have as active of a speedrun community, but it (along with tournaments) did/do exist
Just ordered the puzzle! Let's gooo!🎉
Whats the weird Geoff saying Bleep at like 37:27?
Glad I'm not the only one that heard the regulation bleep out in the wild.
@@Laycossify I rewound like 6 times this morning listening to it to make sure I wasn't going crazy lol
I think that was just some editing error, it doesn't sound like anything they would've had to bleep (nor is it how they'd normally bleep things if they did have to).
i knew exactly the puzzle hoop knot wood as soon as andrew started explaining it. it was clear from the first sentence
For the Talking Animal draft, what about MVP- Most Valuable Primate? Did HE talk? Or just oo oo ah ahh Nick noises? It alllll comes full circle, bay-bee
Geoff just made a crazy poem from food descriptions 😂
"I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm not super scared of it"
"...Cool."
Im sorry, using 2 hands on a katana ? Was a revelation?
The draft talk made me think of Cats & Dogs from 2001.
Imagine the crew attempting the Garbo puzzle for the puzzle tournament lmao
12:10 quite the cliff hanger
the audio version on spotify cuts out the last minute and 15 seconds of this version
Before the end of the year Geoff should have to make a thumbnail in advance based on a topic he chooses then bring up that topic in the episode and see if anyone correctly identifies it as the thumbnail topic
Andrew never ceases to amaze me with how much basic info he manages to miss/not know lmao
12:38 after seeing the absolutely justified photo of a perfectly sized cliff for cliff jumping, this is one of those episodes where I’m angry with Eric in the first 10 minutes.
I like this title haha
Lost to time now
It was truly glorious when it lasted
When do we get the 1000 piece regulation puzzle?
Im really happy to see you guys together im sorry for clowning of geoff. Idc about ur politics just strive and be happy bro. Glad michael and gavin are still your friends. Love you guys thank you for so much and ill be on this commentary supporting how i can.
I'm here for the puzzle stream
I'm sure I'm not the only one asking this but... do they still have the tux from the movie??
I think it’d be funny if chaos erupted in the background of the gta gameplay for half a second then it cuts back to walking again
We need a regulation puzzle of the staff picture
Hi everyone :-) just helping the algo , happy episode 16 again
Love this podcast!
The world jigsaw puzzle champion Alejandro Clemente Leon finished a 500 piece puzzle in 32 minutes 41 seconds
Is “the dead of summer” a phrase? I thought that was only winter
That Amazon mask looks more like "Hindenburg" than "Heisenberg".
can we get a background video of gavin driving around the gta five map in cinematic view and not hitting anything. full lap in cinematic view only you can switch the camera around but no pressing b and leaving cinematic.
Why
@@canadianmoth it would be cool
If I had to bet, I bet Geoff did the game capture this week

For once, I was early enough to see the original title. For those who didn't see, it was some sort of toaster strudel of some kind.
For the talking animal draft. Can brian griffin be used. There was 1 episode where stewie and Brian travel the multivers and for 1 gag they are r a real baby and Labrador and brian says 1 line "push the button" does that count?
Where can I watch Andrew playing Elden ring?
Doesn’t anyone feel like the playback speed on the audio is a little quick? Like a x1.15 speed
Kangaroo Jack would be my 1st pick in a talking animal draft.
Andrew still hasn’t showed them how to use his new Herman Miller chair 😂
Listening while mudding drywall
Is some of those drafts out yet?
Being chained together and navigating a playground is just corporate team building
Tonys milk chocolate is really good. Just putting that out there. I just discovered them like a month ago or so at walmart, well worth the price (the bars are huge).
I wonder in Andrew realizes that the Wasgij puzzles is jigsaw spelled backwards
I think the most frustrating thing to me about this animated not animated argument is Geoff has worked in production for like 20 years and can't think of the words "live action"
36:52 if only there were an austin based group that made guides for video games... maybe it could have achievement in the name...
It still throws me off when he says Regulation at the beginning and I don't know why. Much better name, I'm just so used to the bleep
what about the movie Dinosaur where they took photos of the real world and animated cg on top of it
I would like to know which one of Geoffs items contained the word New Hampshire
