    I bought this print from Jeff, had it framed and it hangs in my office. Great image! It has movement. Very unique. I am also a professional photographer for over 35 years. The detail, depth, composition and beautiful printing makes this image a true work of art we are proud and happy to display.

    Great image. I must say that I like the „flat“ image just as much or even better somehow 😀 must remind me of HCB because of the person jumping over water. Don’t know. Just love it. In that image the people are more like a foreground element and the horizon is the star of the show. But fits the mood of the picture so well.

      Thank you. The light, for me, makes the photograph. In an ideal world I guess the kid jumping in that light would be perfect.

    I love the image! I liked moment before better. Wind ,dust , sand particles, water all in dynamic motion. The joy of small handheld cameras! AA , Weston and Large format very seldom can capture these precious times! Great framing (like earlier img. better) BW at it's best. I find nature very difficult. People one can assess. Nature the Queen Boss! Oh! Suggest carry a clear plastic bag as protection.. Great work.

    Nice shot! Stupid question: Does Leica have their own photo editor? Or do you use LR/PS? I don’t have a Leica. I am thinking of getting a Q2 Monochrome. Thank you.

    • @WalkLikeAlice
      @WalkLikeAlice  3 года назад +2

      No, Leica doesn’t have its own editing software. I use LR for most of the editing with PS for any fine-tuning. I would recommend getting a yellow filter for the Monochrom.

      @@gusatvoschiavon There is no great secret to it. I use a properly calibrated monitor in constant neutral lighting and process everything with these presets

    I gotta ask how windy was it since you were shooting at 1000 and still got the sand's motion blur

    • @WalkLikeAlice
      @WalkLikeAlice  3 года назад +1

      I’ve no idea what the wind speed was but we regularly get gusts of 40-50 mph. I remember it being exceptionally windy on this particular day.

    I really like this photograph but I disagree with your synopsis of how one looks at it. IMO, I think the viewer’s eye first looks at the 3 people and then goes in a clockwise direction rather than how you explained it.
