Hi Mark. Been watching many videos and even bought a course - both of which have finally moved me towards profitability. I trade primarily the DAX and once in a while other indices in the European session. One question though: If you've been watching the market this week you will have seen that volatility is excruciatingly low. Buying highs/selling lows is impossible since moves are too small. And mean reversion strats intraday seem pointless when you're looking at a profit target of 0.1% or 0.2% at most. Any tips of more volatile markets to turn to when volatility is low? Been looking at Gold but the spread of 0.5% of the stake (something like 0.8 points) seems high. So, the DAX is lovely when it's actually moving, but what do we do when it isn't?
The question is not "how to trade etc... " but why ? WHY on earth will you trust this or that ? This is the great science of trading, picking up every clue to build up a confidence level on which a bid can be set. In a range, only the medium ligne has a value... Now we have a bull flag on m30, and i'm in... but it's a rare pattern. Also, when comparing moves, the error is to compare them globally, and maybe it's a better idea to skip the lower part and focus only on the part above the relevant R/S line.... i think that. 4 years wasted, gosh .
There was nothing i could do on Euro today... The flag on m30 was false because it was already the 2nd leg... Such a nasty ATR. Stupid moves with no volume, leading no where.

Have you tried individual stocks? Stocks have been very volatile in 2020 and so far in 2021!
