First clip he’s playing on top of the #1 WR that far because the #2 WR is still pushing vertical into his 1/3 zone. He has to stay on top of both threats pushing deep, he played that perfectly
On the contrary, that would excite me that he’s 20 years old and he’s this good already with so much room for growth. His size, athleticism is elite and he’s super young. He’ll be the youngest player in the NFL next year I believe. He can be great for 10 years if he can stay relatively healthy.
He is a long corner. Long corners are usually not super quick, they usually lose in tight spaces. So it makes since why he gets beat off of the line. But with him running a 4.3 and being 6 foot 1, getting beat off of the line wont matter that much.
I’d say that’s a wrong take on the first play because he has to play the #2 receiver if he ran a comeback that Nickle should be there he played it perfectly but I’d say be more inside
Thank you for being not afraid to call out flaws in top prospects, most people just see one persons opinion and then run with it through the whole process
So after seeing him play against the Eagles, I’ve returned to video like this to say I was correct in my prediction. Gonzalez will be a draft bust, he was getting absolutely crowned by Eagles WRs giving up more receptions than anyone else on the field. Like many scouts also said, He doesn’t have the athleticism to play at an NFL level. The entire game he played soft, 10 yards behind anyone he was covering because he was so afraid to get beat with speed/agility that he doesn’t posses. The only positive is his size/tackling but he’s far too slow and has bad footwork. At best he could turn in to an okay safety using his size to make plays and provide strong tackling against the run.
@@lettucetree5889 wait and see Broseph you seem very sure about a guy that had one good year of college he doesn’t tackle and by all accounts does not take hardship very well there is a reason he fell to the Patriots at 17 sure things are gobbled up in the first 10rd because there are very few of them I think a lot of folks are going to be very disappointed when trying camp gets here
as a corner back myself I’d say that he’s really good and if you’ve seen him play man coverage he’s very great and when it comes to zone he’s still good just not as good his key abilities are he’s patient great footwork and athletic
The physical tools are all there. Especially his hip fluidity, it’s special, he can be a true #1 CB. But somebody needs to coach him up to get there, he is not refined but his potential is tremendous. The Falcons, Seahawks, and Eagles would be his best landing spots
@@youtubeconnollyfamily huge pick....at #17 none the less. We had a gteat draft top to bottom. Alot of dynamic playmakers....and dont even get me started with Boutee and pop douglas, the 2 WR we stole in the 6th. Very exciting times for us Patriots fans. We hare written off and we are hungry and have that underdawg chip on our shoulder. Pierre Strong will have a great year at RB complimenting Mondre...Ty Montgomery as the James white change of pace back is extremely underrated too. CANT WAIT !
You’re quite right. He is still learning the position he only started playing DB a couple years ago, so for him to switch positions and sides of the ball and get drafted still says a ton.

He was spying #2 while dropping back with #1
Agree
this. pretty bad analysis by Jackson Kreuger on that play
He definitely went to the right team to receive good DB coaching lol
Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters grew their game very well there.
@@connorocallaghan8101 he’s on the patriots tf are you talking about

That first tape, he playing a cover 3 he is supposed to bail, he playing a 3rd of the field
The way I would differentiate them....gonzalez is a better cover corner, witherspoon is better in zone coverage.

Well this dude has no clue what he’s talking about lmao
How is he controversial???
The exact reason the video is named what it is… There isn’t a real consensus on him.

you don’t understand how schemes work and you’ve obviously never played corner
Excellent Job as Always Jackson! Thank U!!!
Great video
I trust your evaluation
Have a good day God’s love you
U gotta learn more football before making vids my boy
Trick question.
Boom...at free safety.
Bust at outside cb.
You're not going to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers
He is a bust there is no doubt about it. He is emotionally fragile
Bro stop watching football, it’s not for you kid

Struggle against good teams
I have no concern with Bill coaching dbs . If it was a wr then panic lol but he will ball out probably.
Gonzalez is great Oregon Scheme sucks. He will thrive in NE
Easily best corner in the draft idc what anybody says, dude can do it all

Came immediately to your page once the Patriots drafted him .
As a ducks fan sad to see him leave but happy he went to pats because bill will make him alot better

Lions if they don't get a DL prospect at 6
I can’t believe my patriots got him. Never did. I think we would even be in the conversation for a player like him

Personally I like Witherspoon and he's aggressive style and he's sticky in coverage.
Right? And I like the kid from Maryland, Banks much more physical player he looks a lot like Ty Law
I think his biggest upside is awareness, you can't teach that.

In the first round at that.
I love him. Think he could be great
He's playing off big because he wants the QB to try him...pick 6 😂
As a Patriots and Oregon fan here in Boston i love the pick, also i cant wait until both ends of your mustache finally kiss
Great breakdown.
This goes never played a snap of organized football
He hasn’t even played one down and you already put negative pressure on him
