    First clip he’s playing on top of the #1 WR that far because the #2 WR is still pushing vertical into his 1/3 zone. He has to stay on top of both threats pushing deep, he played that perfectly

    On the contrary, that would excite me that he’s 20 years old and he’s this good already with so much room for growth. His size, athleticism is elite and he’s super young. He’ll be the youngest player in the NFL next year I believe. He can be great for 10 years if he can stay relatively healthy.

    That first tape, he playing a cover 3 he is supposed to bail, he playing a 3rd of the field

  • @JPyo365

    The way I would differentiate them....gonzalez is a better cover corner, witherspoon is better in zone coverage.

  • @nategodwin9258
    @nategodwin9258 Год назад +4

    He is a long corner. Long corners are usually not super quick, they usually lose in tight spaces. So it makes since why he gets beat off of the line. But with him running a 4.3 and being 6 foot 1, getting beat off of the line wont matter that much.

  • @mike2x437
    @mike2x437 Год назад +1

    I’d say that’s a wrong take on the first play because he has to play the #2 receiver if he ran a comeback that Nickle should be there he played it perfectly but I’d say be more inside

  • @MrBubblecake
    @MrBubblecake Год назад

    So after seeing him play against the Eagles, I’ve returned to video like this to say I was correct in my prediction. Gonzalez will be a draft bust, he was getting absolutely crowned by Eagles WRs giving up more receptions than anyone else on the field. Like many scouts also said, He doesn’t have the athleticism to play at an NFL level. The entire game he played soft, 10 yards behind anyone he was covering because he was so afraid to get beat with speed/agility that he doesn’t posses. The only positive is his size/tackling but he’s far too slow and has bad footwork. At best he could turn in to an okay safety using his size to make plays and provide strong tackling against the run.

    The physical tools are all there. Especially his hip fluidity, it’s special, he can be a true #1 CB. But somebody needs to coach him up to get there, he is not refined but his potential is tremendous. The Falcons, Seahawks, and Eagles would be his best landing spots

Alot of dynamic playmakers....and dont even get me started with Boutee and pop douglas, the 2 WR we stole in the 6th. Very exciting times for us Patriots fans. We hare written off and we are hungry and have that underdawg chip on our shoulder. Pierre Strong will have a great year at RB complimenting Mondre...Ty Montgomery as the James white change of pace back is extremely underrated too. CANT WAIT !
