    i’ve taken 3 mocks and gotten a 1 on each of them, pray for me

      Ok, so you can still get at least a 3, and with only one day of studying it's gonna be a hard grind. Study the entire course by going through a Princeton review book or a barron's review book. Get one at either the library or if you just have one. Go through all the processes and try to understand and memorize the main points. This should take you ~8 hours. Finish the last 4 hours with a practice test and go to sleep, wake up the day of the test with a good breakfast and 8 hours of sleep.

    In my senior, I'm giving the bc test next month :). One tip I would give is to understand the topics analytically and graphically, you'll be so sharp that you can back up and justify your answers. Good luck everyone and thanks vin for the tips.

      Thanks for the tip! It sounds like you have a great approach to learning calculus! The AP test will assess your understanding of multiple representations, so understanding the topics "analytically and graphically" is a great goal to set. I hope you do well on your exam in a few weeks!

    Hi Vin! Have you considered grading for AP? It's a good way to get more in depth understanding of the rubric so that you can pass it along to your viewers.

      At some point, I want to become an AP Reader. Right now, I am very busy with family life, I have two toddlers! That's part of why I like youtube, I can do the majority of the work from home.
      You mentioned that you teach precalculus and calculus at a college. Are you a math professor?

      Hang in there, show up and put your best work on the paper. All you can do right now is study, get a good night sleep, and show up to take the test. All of these big events are learning experiences, no matter what the outcome.

      Yes but it is not a massive topic. I would focus on the big topics (First Derivative Test, Fundamental Theorem of Calculus) first!

    two weeks left and im struggling with frq. This layed out the perfect plan for me. U still think I can pull of a 5?

    • @vinteachesmath
      @vinteachesmath  Год назад

      A 5 is definitely attainable, but a lot depends on what skills you are bringing to the AP test on the May 8th. You knowing what you need to work on (FRQ's) is good. Just remember that when they grade your FRQ's, they are strictly following the rubric. So make sure your responses are accurate, and that you are using the big theorems to justify/explain your work.
      I am rooting for you! You sound very committed to getting the 5. Try to visualize you showing up prepared, having mastered all the big ideas and you will have a good chance.
      This part may be tough to hear but the most important thing you will gain in the next few weeks is a system for preparing for something difficult. I always tell my students that I am most proud of the ones that give it their all, pushing their limits in preparing for the AP exam. When you get hired as an adult, your work ethic will be one of your greatest assets!
