  • Deep Water growers, your time has come.
Gone are the days of polystyrene rafts that collect algae, pythium, and mold.
No more broken corners letting light into your ponds, further compounding algae.
No more rafts to the landfill.
No more visitors asking about mold near harvestable leaves.
Most importantly, no more replacing green rafts.
After years of development, we are proud to bring the Heavy Duty Bootstrap Farmer Greens Raft to hydroponic grows big and small.
Our Food Safe UV treated patent-pending coating increases our high-density polystyrene core, so our raft remains flexible and uncracked even under extreme handling conditions.
Reduce cleaning times by 80% as debris slides off our slick surface. Trials have proven that plant tissue sticks far less than a polystyrene board.
Designed in-house at Bootstrap Farmer and perfected in the hands of Deep Water Farmers, the Bootstrap Farmer Greens Raft is one of our proudest achievements and a big win for sustainability in hydroponic operations.

Might be the single greatest leap in hydro that I’ve seen ever

I use Bootstrap farmer trays for seed starting in my dirt garden and microgreen growing both for home use. I have done dutch buckets and do Kratkey for in door lettuce in summer. Its great to see this kind of innovation.

We really appreciate that. It's been a labor of love to bring this solution to market.

Never realized how unclean the old rafts look after cleaning them, from a visual standpoint I couldn't really tell with the white rafts, thank you for making something better!

Love the innovation and aesthetically pleasing nature of these rafts

Why isn't a UV clarifier a standard part of the water cycle in a hydroponics/aquaponics system? Are there concerns that nutrients would be broken down in the process? Because UV would kill the algae issue for good...

Which is not to say I don't think this is a great product. Having a product with increased reusability, and therefore less waste, is a very good thing regardless of algae.

Treating the water in a pond w UV filters is possible.
However it still wouldn’t prevent the growth on top of the rafts as sun/grow lights interact w algae stuck in traditional raft surfaces.
Basically the algae is coming from two sources.
Top of raft and water hitting the pond water through broken crevices.

Best thing to happen to hydro in any recent years

So what’s the difference between these and hort America coated beaver rafts

    • @BootstrapFarmer
      @BootstrapFarmer  7 месяцев назад +2

Our have an additional poly urea shell.
Other boards coating refers to how polystyrene rafts are made in the EPS mould. Its slicker than a lower density packing material but still susceptible to a porous finish.

This is awesome! I didn't know anything else was available, and took hydroponics off the table...
    Blessings ❤
