My brother turned me on this music somewhere in 1980, he was 21 and I was 10! Night after night has been my favorite song for months at the time (I was swallowing music like a sponge!) Tomorrow we're going to see UK live in Quebec City!! I'm nervous as a kid" Life is great!
Just came back from the UK 2012 Chicago show - it was KILLER!! IF you like UK, you'll love the show and yes they did this and In The Dead of Night but with a surprise....:)
This live album is awesome and so underrated. Thanks for posting,I haven't heard this in 20+ years. This is something I doubt you can find easily on album or CD today. A friend years ago had the album.Sound quality for a live recording was awesome for the time.1979
This is one of the "hellish" compositions that I have ever heard. Virtuosos don`t even describe the talent of this gentlemen. Thanks Mr. Wenton, Mr. Bozzio, Mr.Jobson. It is a privilege to hear your music...👍👍👍👍👍
I saw them opening for Jethro Tull in San Diego. I couldn't say for sure what year that was, though. Bozzio is great but Bruford's shoes are quite big to fit him here.
I think this is my favorite song of all time, and the best example of all time. UK was so overlooked by so many people, and hopefully one day, Eddie will deem it worth releasing the work he and John Wetton (RIP) did on the unreleased Legacy project from the mid '90s. In the meantime, it doesn't get better than this. UK Live in Japan, 1979.
I love these concert versions of timeless UK pieces. These live recordings were overdubbed later in the studio before the album release - especially the keyboard textures, and vocal harmonies. Nevertheless, UK is one of the best groups that ever existed, and it is so underrated, almost forgotten. Hmm... In the late 18th Century hardly anyone remembered J.S. Bach and his music. I dare to believe that Progressive Rock genre will one day come back, after humankind will be sick and tired of stagnant music scene, entirely shaped by the greedy corporations.
Just found out about this today: "UK "Night After Night 2012" World Tour" ukreunion.info you can't get this on cd anymore, unless you are willing to pay a huge amount of money on ebay or amazon, and its not even available on itunes. The first album in the best.
Indeed...it's hard to get ANY kind of copy of this album, really. I hate to download stuff illegally, but never before have I found it to be the only viable option. :S I listen to an obscure 70's group from France called Magma, and buying their records is WAY easier than finding UK's stuff...
This is energy and symphony for my soul

I hate when people comment that things are underrated , This is a solid live recording that you can still find on vinyl and easily get on CD.

Love the intro to this song ! Reminds me of driving into work and running late than punching in right on time !
I saw UK opening for Jethro Tull in 1979, I bought all their records, including the first one with Allan Holdsworth on guitar.

I just saw the Baltimore show and it was mind blowing!
