  • Sharing my experience and method of importation which is probably the easiest way aside from buying a vehicle that has already been imported into the country.
This is the inspector I would probably use if I were to make an exotic high dollar purchase as he has a great reputation and a good eye for flaws. I believe he works with preferred exporters as well and can help you with that aspect. I do not have any affiliation with Trevor, just have followed him and like his honesty and have not heard any negative feedback about his business.

The importer I used to handle all the paperwork and logistics was Revhard Motors based out of Colorado. I live in Florida but I am originally from Colorado so I was able to contact some of my friends in Colorado to check up on the company and make sure they were legit since I was going to wire a large sum of money to somebody I've never personally met. I can say it was a great experience and I would use them again. Zach was my contact there who did a great job answering questions and helping communicate with the sellers in Japan and relaying any requests I had for pictures, video, compression tests etc.

Thanks for the mention! One thing to note, we are unable to take it for a ride or put it on a lift 95% of the time. Getting under the car properly we can do but some dealers will play ball and some say straight up no claim no return because at the end of the day they know the car will sell.

Thanks for that info. I've seen a few videos where drives have been taken and I totally understand some sellers not willing to allow test drive. I would have a hard time letting somebody test drive a car of these types without cash in hand deposit.
