My problem with the dresses you got for her is that they are both cups with lose bodices, all the ones she has pinned are fitted and non of them have triangle tops

Thrifting is so much fun😭 and CHEAP, and the excitement is going there randomly and not knowing if you’re going to score or not. Plus, everyone knows, when you thrift for someone else, you keep the best stuff for yourself, I’ve been doing that for my little brother for years, it’s not even selfish, it’s just what You do🤣. So, I get that you save time, but you’re missing out on all the fun, it’ll cost you more, and there’s a good chance you’re not even getting all the good stuff. Anyways. Just a thought
I think it'd probably be that much because she has to take the time to find what you wanted and ordered (which I would think takes a little bit longer to do for some things, like items that she has to go to a couple or few different thrift stores to find), and because of the money she has to spend on the items themselves :)'
I think that's really cool that you're a personal stylist that works with thrifted items. For anyone wondering why I'm saying this. It's because typically in the personal styling industry, we don't work with thrifted items. Typically clothing, shoes, and accessories from thrift stores can't be returned. So if our clients don't like an outfit or some items during their fitting, then either the client lost money and they can't use that money toward pieces that support their style goals, or the personal stylist might have to shoulder that financial burden. Do you do closet clean outs, before shopping at thrift stores for your clients? Could you possibly explain more about your process, and how you try your best to make sure that you're getting items for clients that they'll like, when you're purchasing items from thrift stores? I'm really fascinated by your process, especially because so many thrift stores don't accept returns. Do you take your clients shopping with you, that way they can try the items on in store, and they can pieces that they know they'll wear. Are you shopping at thrift stores that have good return policies? Do you pull a whole bunch of items, or are you only pulling a handful of items for your clients and creating outfits for them?
How are people paying you 200 for this when the items at thrift/charity total probably under 20? 😭 and maybe take you 1hr-max 6hrs if different shops to do?? like good for you I guess but I think that’s bonkers
I do personal styling work, and it's not just a shopping part that takes a long time. We have to do consultations, we have to help people develop their style, or rather at least for me that is the way I work. Taking the time to just have someone fill out a Pinterest board is not going to actually help someone truly develop their individual style. $200 believe it or not for what she's doing, makes perfect sense because she has to evaluate the Pinterest board, figure out how to put styles together that may not initially make a lot of sense together, she then has to figure out which stores to shop at, put the outfits together, and then present that to the client. Personal styling involves a ton of work and curating looks that work well for our clients is not the easiest thing in the world to do. It's incredibly fulfilling, but it is a luxury service for a reason. People don't need personal stylists, but they can really help individuals out who may not understand why their style may look disjointed or why their items may not suit them well in certain occasions.
This is the firsy one ive seen where she actually found cute items that all pair well... 🤕🤐 usually im here struggling to finish watching but not this time lol good job :)
