ziyu is such a sweetheart. you think prodigies are people with big egos but he's just such a nice calming spirit :)
In general, I think most prodigies are very humble people. They can truly appreciate how much work it takes to get good at something. Sorta the unusual side of the "Dunning-Kruger effect". I think we just tend to see the noisy bad apples because...well...they're noisy.
Blacc Iriss Autism is not a well understood or well defined condition, so I think it’s a mistake to just dismiss prodigious ability as the product of some genetic malady. It undermines the many, many hours that this kid has surely put into developing his skill. Perhaps there is some synesthesia going on in his hearing and understanding of pieces, but autism doesn’t magically imbue one with the manual dexterity and bowing technique required for violin. Alas, this is what happens when we put too much faith in the conjecture of soft sciences. Everyone has ADD and Asberger’s, right?
Adam Meade obvious to be good people need to practice hahahha like it’s very obvious that even with insane talents which he obviously have the skill is impeccable even tho I don’t play violin the first challenge he nailed it and I can tell the notes are so precise and it tells me how well he understands the violin which comes from tons of practice

Among Asians who were actually raised in Asian cultures or by culturally Asian parents, there often seems to be a sort of reserved and cordial disposition, so that may be a factor, as well. Anyhow, I’m just speculating, too. Either way, he seems like a nice guy who we all could learn from. :)

Honestly this is why I love these guys. Its so easy to get jealous of people better than you, but these two are just genuinely happy to meet, see, hear from the best musicians around the world. They love that someone is better, its a testament to how hard they worked for it. Love it.

And while your self-esteem takes liver-shots that would kill anybody else's dreams, you guys are still playing, still enjoying, still laugh-crying, still PRACTICING... As an Italian, I can confirm Ziyu's pronunciations of the piece names are some of the most accurate pronunciations by a non-native speaker I've ever heard, except for Nel cor più non mi sento, but it's not his fault. It's hard to pinpoint the o sound and saying the words in the right tone
I get more happy when non Italian speakers pronounce Italian food or music correctly or at least try their best to☺️
But the twoset pronounced Ziyu's last name wrong...
they didn't even pronounce his first name properly, it's in chinese.
