@LanceusMaximus You have a kindred- I’m so happy this was placed in my queue! This narrator is very talented. He delivers the alliteration, annunciation, and tempo perfectly… Kipling was Daddy’s favorite (he could dramatically recite Gunga Din by memory), so the book set was on the lower shelves for my brother’s and my pleasure. To have Kipling read so well is a delicious treat!!!
I love Kipling. He's so clever. Cats indeed like to present themselves as "walking by themselves" but actually need us as much as we need them. A fun story, well read as usual.
@readingtheclassics ☘️💜 Exactly! I've read them to my own kids!💜☘️🙃 How can I forget Limpopo river?🙃☘️💜 How my Air Force navigator Dad taught us geography!🙃☘️
My great-grandfather used to used to tell this joke: Q: Do you like Kipling? A: I don’t know I’ve never kipled. It’s a bad joke, I know, worse than a dad joke it’s a great grand dad joke. Hope it gave you a chuckle.
I don't recall who in my family also told that joke... but you made me recall a lovely memory of my grandfather, so thank you! And thanks for listening!
@@readingtheclassicsI love the story all the same. My opinion of dogs and cats does not reflect on the experience of this story. I’m simply reacting to the “truth” of the story.
I don't know how I got here, but I like it.
Welcome and thank you so much!

Definitely going to be more Kipling in the future. Most enjoyable to read. Thanks for listening!
☘️🙃 Dad would read Kipling for our bedtime stories... my favorite!🙃☘️
This one is from a book called Just So Stories - I will try and do them all over time! Thanks so much for listening!

Cats suck, dogs rule.
Haha, probably should keep away from my Ambrose Bierce stories then... he tends to lean cat quite heavily.
Thanks for listening!
A "proper man"... I see...😅
@ipsygypsy16 haha love this! thanks for listening!
