Ngl I kinda hated this game because I would never get picked. Everyone just picked their friends and I wasn’t popular enough to enough friends to get picked frequently.
When i was up, i would just look at one of the persons picked, but not the one i picked. Extremely simple, so many people underrated that strat and it works like a charm.
In Australia, we call this “heads down, thumbs up”. main part of the childhood lol Idk if this is called the same thing in other states/countries, but yeah. (500! Well done, and thanks :3)
We called this Heads Up 7-up. Referring to the 7 people who stood up when their thumb was tapped. Everytime someone had a birthday we played this best childhood game by far
i called it “heads down, thumbs up”. i noticed people would cheat with looking at the shoes, so when i was it, when we were gonna choose someone, we gathered all the pokers around one desk and then tap on it, always worked
Oml- this brings memory’s. Once I didn’t cheat and I was then picking people. You know? Like normal! Then I was picking the eighth person when I saw them do this. So I didn’t pick them. But, my teacher said “Samantha you have been up for to long in the game so choose someone to go up. So I chose a person and sat down. I’m still kinda mad that my teacher ruined my streak. Ngl.
when i was up,i would make my classic guilty smile at the person i didnt pick then they would always get it wrong and i ended up staying up there for like 15 rounds
In the UK we call it 'heads down thumbs up' I'm not sure if it's the same rules wherever you live but basically depending on how many people there are depends on how many people stand at the front. For example there's 30 kids in a class and about 4-8 kids would stand at the front. The people at the front pinch others fingers (they all pick different people though) . When everyone's picked, the people chosen to pinch thumbs stand at the front in a different order. Then if your thumb was pinched you stand up and guess out of the people standing at the front. If you get it right you swap with the person, if you get it wrong you sit down and the person who pinched you gets to stay at the front. I forgot to say but the answers if you were correct or not are revealed at the end or the last person to decide will know who has pinched someone, and who hasn't . Well those are the rules in the UK, where do you live and what do you call it ( I also remember stomping around the class and stopping next to random people to throw the class off 😂😎😎)
This is barely related but whenever we played before we did everything we said: heads down thumbs up let's play 7 up. I don't know if it was like that for anyone else
I remember this one girl with a really good memory and good sense of touch shook everyone's hand before the game started so she would know who picked her, and I respected the hell out of her for that
We called it “Heads-up 7-up” cause when it was time for people to start guessing we said “heads-up seven-up” and the seven people stood up. It was always confusing when eight people stood up. There was also one time I played when nine different people stood up and no one knew why.
I used the temperature of their hands. By assigning a temperature of 1-x amount of people up. By taking previous encounters into account (I have touched everyone’s hand at some point) I can associate the temperature number to the correct person. This strategy has a 87% win rate if you know your class.
to determine the person's thought process, first we must talk about -parallel universes- the pythagorean theorem, a^2 + 2km/s of poop = i don't know 88mm for every time i find a bloody job in this economy

I’d do that too, but whenever we played the teacher would be out of the room since she had done that to distract us. So I’d always get away with it, everyone was always so mad at me. It was so funny.
I'd look at people's shoes too... that's what made me realize how to put people's thumbs down without them being able to see me... you'd have to come up from behind and walk away from them the same way you came from. You didn't want to give them the chance to cheat and look at your shoes. No cologne or perfume either... nothing that could give them any clues. I really don't know WHY I did shit like that, but I THINK that it had to do with me feeling like I was smarter than everyone else, and of course, just wanting to win..
Exactly what I did and if they pointed at me and the teacher would ask “are you sure” I would smile and they would pick someone else if I was the person that put their thumb down. People just didn’t know to trust me and I didn’t smile as much. :/
lol we called this game “Heads up 7 up” and I did the same thing. also covered my face when i was the tagger so no one would be able to tell it was me by my face while guessing.

For us 7up is a game where one person is separated from the rest of the players and says “7up” they can make it as long as they want but if they turn around and a player moves they have to go back to the line basically the goal is to touch the separated player and run back to the line before the player (separated) touched anybody from the players, i hope you understand- 🥲
