How did Maya & Delyth get together? Do you know, from their backstory, why they're both digging their heels in & staying together even though they barely tolerate each other?
They had a long-distance relationship, and Maya decided to move to the village to live with Delyth. They don't have much backstory other than Delyth has been jealous about Maya having female friends in the past. It's clear neither of them are happy, and I guess they're trying to hang on to a broken relationship because they don't want to admit it.

There is a good chance that Maya's fiancée is going to leave the village next week. That makes me think that them "getting together" isn't too far in the future.
