You got it all mixed up in this video.. That component you call a switch is also the Control in this circuit, its the whole regulating buck converter for the voltage.. The IC you point to as the Controlcircuit has nothing to do with the voltage regulating Control, it regulates the current and is not always present in a buck converter.. This module has the extra function that you could set max current out and the module starts acting as a constant current source if you try to pull more then set value.. Useful if you want to charge batteries or drive high power LEDs..
All im seeing when i see a buck conv is a diy lab bench variable power supply 😂 just a 30v 5A power supply and soldering a external multiturn potentiometer and ready to go
