My first gaming experience was in the ‘70s when my dad came home from a business trip to our rural Colorado home with the original Pong system. We were blown away… man how things have changed! We graduated to the Atari then Nintendo and so on. I have gamed my entire life but have never felt comfortable being called “a gamer” that is until I started watching Pixel Game Squad and now this channel and realized there are many of us aging folks still in the hobby. I’ve always played at times that were convenient for my family and work obligations (late night’s mostly) until I was able to retire early a couple years ago. I have now really started enjoying the collecting side since I have time and have gained such great insight on what to look for and how not to over spend. Thank you for bringing a mature perspective on gaming and reminding me how much joy this hobby has brought to my life!
I love this - that’s the goal of this series. It’s fun to reminisce but I want others to know what they might need to lookout for to get a fair deal. I know I am wrong sometimes, but it’s still done in earnest.

250 is pretty accurate for those NEO GEO AES games. if Blues Journey was complete it's definitely close to 300. And the uncensored version of Nam 1975 is definitely more desirable. Anyway, awesome games. Especially fun to see the AES games since I started to get into that a while ago!
Ask somebody who was working at Best buy from 97 to 2003ish, that seal on GameCube games was notorious for ripping compared to Dreamcast and PS2 games. To see shrink wrap and not folded wrap is not surprising

new sub great video. I had a near complete AES collection at one point and sold it to buy my wife a house. Honestly I love The Neo till this day but looking back a lot of the collecting market was messed up by people back in the 90's by people like Neo Freaks and a few others who mass produced bootlegs back in the day that a lot of us older collectors got out because the market was shattered because of it. No MANUAL was a no buy because it was much harder to produce and look correct then the cover art. If you do wanna collect for it just a heads up on that. make sure it comes with a manual and even then reproduction today is going to be much more easy for scam artists! good luck!

The only Square PS1 game I have is Einlander. So it was nice to see it alongside its squaresoft brothers for a change Bushido Blade and Final Fantasy Tactics. Never seen neo geo games before. Those are mighty big Cartridges. Reminds me of boxes the video store would have for their tapes. Your series is so chill mort. Love seeing these videos. Its like a casual interview.

Good point - but since I have a pre existing relationship with these folks the feeling is pretty neutral. I try and make the selling choices as non pressured as possible. I just enjoy seeing what people have and talking through it.

This is a good question - I feel though as a friend that fully disclosing all his options to him and encouraging him to do what’s best is the right thing. I don’t hide that I have the intent to resell, but I also pass on the deals from time to time as well. Thanks for your comment ❤️
if his friend thought that was unfair offer he couldve declined- he never thought all the stuff was worth that much to begin with so for him Mort is doing him a favor taking it off his hands

Agree to disagree. As Chris stated, he finds the reselling options stressful. I can think of plenty of times where I’ve had stuff to let go of that I was happy to let go of and someone else made the money off of because I didn’t want to deal with it. I also have no problem making money, especially when my intentions are made really clear. I appreciate your perspective and I’m glad you’re here 👊

I find it hard to sell anything but mainstream Nintendo games locally. Even then, I tend to price things at about %90-80 pricecharting values.
That’s also true - local sales I tend to list myself somewhere around the eBay sold minus fees so we all win.
