  • A Late night session with some of the of the Edinets Lautarii brass musicians as part of the Other Europeans Project field trip to Edinets, Republic of Moldova, nov. 23, 2008. Alan Bern brought a group of Jewish music researchers and klezmer musicians to meet with Moldovan Lautarii through the help of Marin and Diana Bunea (violinist and Ethnomusicologist, repectively.) The lautar tradition of northern Moldova shares deep roots with Klezmer music, and the local lautar even refer to themselves as "klezmeras."
