THANK YOU for talking positively about Aida fabric!!! I’ve bought a lot of Aida and supplies to learn how to cross stitch. Then while watching FlossTube I came across one or two that made me feel like I would never become a really good cross-stitcher unless I can do linen fabric. You have made me feel like I can become a “real“ cross-stitcher even if I only stitch on Aida !!! Thanks for your encouragement to a beginner ❤

There are two particular projects I completed using Aida that I can't imagine looking good on linen. I think the three big things for me that helped me love aida were:
      1. It's Affordable
      2. Using lower count Aida (16ct, 18ct)
      3. Hand-dying my own Aida or using more natural/rustic types of Aida like fiddlers cloth, oatmeal, and flax.
Bonus: There are some amazing dyed Aida out there that rival any linen. 123stitch.com is a great source!

And by the way, no matter what you stitch on or how long you've been stitching, you are a "real cross-stitcher". We are all just a bunch of people who stab x's into fabric haha!

That was fun! My favorites were the ones that you didn't remember what was in the bag. I can definitely relate! Thank you for sharing all of them. I enjoyed stitching with you and watching!

I'm glad you had fun. I had fun digging around. It's kind of like shopping, but with a little more guilt since some of the projects are old lol.

I have missed you, but I completely understand what you went through with sickness during the holidays. I loved listening to your thought process as you picked up each project. Sometimes looking through our patterns/starts it brings that spark back to work on some or all of them. Thank you for showing Ben. He is absolutely priceless and now thank you prayers to God for his health.

Beautiful projects you have in WIPS. I have Christmas in July bag for Christmas WIPS. Be gentle on yourself you have time to stitch and not be stressed so you can enjoy your stitching.

Oh I so agree about Aida... now I've been stitching for 40 years and back then all I could find was Aida. I moved onto Jobelan and then linen but some patterns just fit better with Aida IMHO... I a BIG Prairie Schooler fan and stitching them on Aida is comfort stitching to me.... loved your WIP parade.. need to go through mine and pick out a couple to revisit.

I agree with the Prairie Schooler patterns. I can't imagine them stitched on anything else.

Fact or Fiction is such a good show!
I don’t understand some people’s snobbiness towards Aida. Like dude calm down. Just cause you don’t like it, doesn’t mean that it isn’t cross stitching. It’s the exact same thing just bigger.

I haven't watched fact or fiction. I'll go check it out. I also don't understand the bias against aida. It was literally invented for cross stitchers. We should appreciate it more.
