  • Grab and go with a complete socket set is great. This is the best storage system that I have done to keep all my sockets together. This is a quick video on how to set this up and to make a simple improvement so that it is even better.

Thank you very much. This has been one of the most useful things that I have done. It great to be able to grab a complete set of sockets and go directly to the job and know that you will have the necessary sockets available when you need it.

Galen Neibarger isn’t it brilliant?! I’ve hated this tool for the simple fact I misplace them and then rebuy only to find the first set which then becomes lost again! Harbor Freight has them for $0.99! Can’t beat that for anything else

Just watched this as I am trying to sort my sockets, I love the comment about haveing to keep two sets, metric and imperial... over here in the UK if you want to be covered you need 4, metric, imperial, BSF and Whitworth... I would love to only have to keep 2 sets :-)

Wow! I did not realize that you needed four sets of tools. It is bad enough to have to have two. Crazy. Thank you for sharing.

It took me a bit to figure out what metal strip you were using... so everyone this is really a cool idea and Ik I’m late to watch and comment but anyways check out harbor freight just as he said for: Socket Rails that come in 3/4” or 1/4” etc. and literally for pocket change! Thanks for this brilliant idea as no one else has yet to share these rail sets for such an annoying to store tool lol so I’ll definitely be building either a cabinet with this very same idea 💡 of yours or a French cleat

From a very old English woodworker, that's blooming brilliant! How 8 "people" dislike this I will never know. Thank you for posting.

You are very welcome! This has worked better than I had ever imagined. It is so easy to grab the socket set that I need and go. Yes, I could have used better socket holders but I had no idea that it was going to work so well. Thank you very much.

I would like to see how you make the handles that you mentioned. Thank you.

Have you dropped any of them? how did they hold up? They seem like they'd do well where magnetic ones mean at least one lost forever socket when they scatter.

Yes, and some will fall off. This is the cheapest socket holder made. There are better one available.

Why did you not just drill a hole at the other end. Seems like a lot of work for nothing.

    • @PawPawsWorkShop

Just did not want a big hole in the other end. No other reason
