I've loved Gaga since she came on the music scene and I love that, like you said, she wasn't afraid to express herself even if people thought she was different. She believed enough in herself to be herself. But, tbh, I don't think people took her too seriously until she collaborated with Tony Bennett. Also fun fact - the orchestral music in the intro was composed and conducted by GaGa - so we could very well have classic orchestral album interludes with dance/pop records throughout
