- Trying something a little different, we go from start to finish on an E85 sensor, injectors, and tuning with a 2008 G8 GT.
Follow us along as we get this G8 on the corn with a G8only E85 kit!
I have an 09 g8 gt and when I say this has to be the best g8 video I have seen on RUclips.. I’ve been terrified of the wiring and a million people explain it a million different ways on the forums, but this video is in depth, explained to the point where I can actually do this install myself at home step for step!! Thank you 🙏🏾 #subscribed #bellhit
Thank you. We can help with remote tuning as well, if needed!
E85 is a great addition. I have a 2009 G8 GT, with a Magnuson 2300 Supercharger, 1050 Bosch Injector Dynamics fuel injectors and an E85 sensor. I also put in a corrosion resistant fuel line with dual fuel pumps. It has a high performance cam and long tube headers. It was dyno tuned and puts out 585 hp at 6300 rpm and 565 ft.lbs. of torque. It's a beast. I notice a difference between E85 and 93 octane. I can certainly tell the E85 makes more power. Enjoy your G8!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank God I found this channel🙏🏽keep u the good work!!
Thank you
Nice install, very detailed!
Thank you!
Just adding fuel isnt what cools the combustion chamber, its the Alcohol in E-85 that cools it. And yes you can run far more ignition, mostly due to cooler EG temps but higher octane is a beautiful thing. I remember some years back when they statted bumping back the amount of Alcohol one could use in Indy and everyone had to detune the rngine fairly drastically which if i remember correctly was the idea behind the move. It did cost a few engines tho
Good informative video. Thanks you been thinking about doing this mod. Getting the tuning done is a pain in my area. The few that may be able to do it act like they don’t want to work and is why I don’t want them to touch my car. The same reason my G8 is not supercharged right now.
Hey! If you can install it, we can remote tune it. We have done that plenty of times.
@@nufnuffz28well I have purchased the parts to install for E85. G8 only flex fuel, 1200cc injectors and a boost a pump. I did purchase the Walbro 450 you suggested but decided to not chop up my bucket and such on fuel pump I decided to try the BAP. What is the process and charge for remote tune if you are willing please?

Man Love this video‼️
Thank you!
I'm legit saving this
Love to hear that. Subscribe for more information and videos!
@@nufnuffz28 already did bro
Wheres this guy located? Seems very knowledgeable about the G8
Central nc
Great video. Thank you.
You're welcome
Very informative
Thank you sir!
Can I do this E85 change to my G8 and keep the install and switch back to 91oct gasoline????
Yes. If tuned for both
Damn I just saw 4 G8. Good g8 squad what’s the radiator line that runs next to the headlight and air intake ? It curves like a u mines snapped in half in the lower engine bank I can’t find this part
I have a question man what part # are the injectors? Or what year cts v are they off of? I’m about to do this to my G8. Thank you man and love the content!!
Not sure. Any CTSV injector if a factory LSA car should work
Niceee!
Thanks man!
What was the degrees of timing set to on e85?
Ehhhhh. 24 on 93, 28ish on e85 if Im guessing. Its been a while. Needs less timing in the 4400-5400 area
Very helpful video! What exhaust are you running? Chop sounds nice
Thank you! It has Pacesetter Headers and solo exhaust, mid-muffler, and solo J pipes. Check out her review video on all the details and some ride along videos of it!
It has a BTR 2 cam as well
Where did you get the injectors from?
From a stock CTS-V
@@nufnuffz28year?
What’s the MPG on e85?
I have a 09’ GXP on e85 and wanted to know the MPG on it so I can compare it to octane regular plus or supreme gas
We see about 15-20% less MPG
Dude I have same color but up to this moment I don’t know what is the name of the color
Is it red or orange
Ignition orange metallic
Where are the headlights from
Ebay I THINK
Does this car have ported heads? I have cam and ported heads wondering if i can get away with using ctsv injectors?
Yes and yes you can
@@nufnuffz28 nice. Question which stall speed would you recommend for ls3 w/tsp2 and ported heads? Daily driver im between 3400 and 3dp.
@@buildingthess 3dp for sure
@@nufnuffz28 thanks
Stock fuel pump able to handle the extra fuel supply needed for e85? obviously the injectors are not.
Yes. This seems to be the upper limit of what they can supply fuel for. Above this HP amount we swap in a 450 pump and have been at 560 RWHP on that without issue on E85 (Also had one dyno at 620 with a single 450 pump, but was a manual car)
@@nufnuffz28 thanks I’m caming my g8 with a blp shots fired cam and wanted to also put it on corn. So basically I need zl1 or v2 injectors and the e85 sensor kit?
@@spiceykibbles1901 yes. That should get it setup as long as your pump is in good shape. Let us know if we can helpnwith the build or tuning!
Do you recommend I change fuel pump with heads/cam/intake/converter? Have you ever seen a n/a g8 require a bigger fuel pump on e85?
Where did you get that hood
Duraflex LE Designs sells them. Was on the car when we bought it
Do you think it’s worth getting E-85 with just full bolt ons? And will I tell a difference ?
We like it for every build. Cheap power amd will be there if/when you do more.
Is this kit for strictly only e85 or is it flex fuel and I can use gas as well ?
flex. either fuel
Thats ok if u no What your doing ?
We can help with any questions
What is your opinion about this mod on a stock cam bolt on car?
I like itvon every car. Gas prices and the extra power are worth it.
If stock cam you can probably just add the sensor and a tune! You will need injectors if you cam it.
When you added fuel did you only adjust the alcohol PE table? Did you adjust any other fuel tables? Were the factory open loop alcohol tables good enough for a cold start? Thanks
If the MAF and gas PE tables are close then E85 falls in OK usually, so then I only have to worry about alcohol PE
Thanks. Was also just wondering if your stock fuel pump is still coping ok? Hoping to avoid changing it for a n/a setup.
@@steve1714 yes. Done 12 or so on e85 with stock pumps.. Some over 150k miles. No issues
@@steve1714 i do remote tuning if you need anything!
That's great! Everyone keeps telling me I need a Zl1 fuel pump upgrade. I'm unsure why they say this when you have done it. I do have heads/intake too though. How do I contact you for remote tuning. I'm from Australia.

What size injectors do you recommend running on a LSA setup with this E85?
We usually go in the 85 lb hour range to have some headroom
Would u recommend upgrading the fuel lines I wanna to this to my g8 gt with a stage 2 cam cia and long tubes my fuel lines are a bit rusty
Stock lines should be OK unless they are in need of replacement
The cts-v injectors seem to be a looser fit into the intake, did you notice this?
No, we didn't
Do you need to charge fuel lines to run e 85
No
Do you all have any experience with hpi injectors? Would 65lb injectors be enough for e85?
i do not, but that would be enough for an all motor car
@@nufnuffz28 thank you yup its staying all motor getting a 230 238 112 howards cam soon maybe e85 and that's about it.
Where are you located?

What’s size injectors did you all go with and also what kind of fuel pump

@@nufnuffz28 any issues with stock pump so far
@@nikob235 No. We have a pretty good success rate with the stock pump. Over 90%!
