In my opinion, even some of the lowest helmets on this list are some of the best helmets in all of Halo. For example, the CQB helmet, which I rated D, is one of my favs in all of Halo. I used it in Reach quite a bit. Honestly the only one I have a genuine hatred for is HAZOP that one is ugly as balls. If you disagree with that take you need to seek help. Alright that's it. I think if the operator helmet operationally looked like it was more suited for operating operationally during operations through the mud, it would receive a higher rating. Nah GUNGNIR at F tier is crazy, you can pull off some clean fits with the hazard variant (the one with the chin mod), but I would agree the base model looks pretty awful
I've never understood the appeal for this helmet. Especially without the mods, my god it is indeed terrible. With the mods, it makes it look better, but I just don't see the appeal of the design in the first place. No visor? Wierd. It looks so blocky imo. I am open to other takes for sure, but man I don't think this one deserves any better than D tier.
@@MidzBruh when I first saw it on someone who was like an inheritor or something he had an outfit that perfectly matched with the helmet, it looked badass. It looks sorta like a robot/droid which is why I like it, you kinda look like a machine, yknow faceless and all that, lack of emotion or whatever. I also played titanfall at the time and to me it looked a lot like a mix of a stalker bot and a raiders titan pilot. Those are mainly the reasons why I like the helmet. Like I said, I agree that the base model of the helmet feels like it’s missing something, and the cheek/chin mod fixes that for me adding extra rigidness. I like it, the community seems to be split in half when it comes to liking that helmet, I see people on RUclips who absolutely adore the helmet, and some that just can’t see why people like it, to each their own, but I still think F tier is shockingly low. Also isn’t the little glass dot on the right side of the helmet (aka the visor) a camera? And yeah I edited this comment like 4 times cause every time I think I’m finished writing I think of something else to say, my proofreading skills are not good
Ha, thank you for explaining. This does make me understand a bit better. I too am a Titanfall enjoyer (couple vids on my channel already, more coming soon), and I def see what you are saying there. I do see the robot/droid comparison for sure, and I think that is heavily influenced by those old "Rise of Reach" videos or whatever they were called. One of the main characters had that helmet and was a robot. I just don't think that is my cup of tea. I want my spartan to be someone with a personaliy, but I do see the appeal of the vibe of the helmet. As for the dot on the right, I do believe that is a camera. Hard disagree on this one. I think EVA [C] is solid, but regular eva is just too smooth and bubbly. I feel like the good helmets have distinct shape and angles. Everyday, I feel like pilot wins over regular eva for that reason. @Midzit I meant no disrespect, but dammit man I love the EVA helmet and how cool some of the visor colors are for it. The revival of it in Halo Infinite gives immaculate drip with some of the visors. I just have a lot of memories using the hell out of it like you do and I still love it its a top 5 for me

Had some good conversation about operator with @anameiwillhatelater. in the comments. tldr its probably better than I put it, but still, it doesnt do a lot for me. It is just so normal. I like things with unique designs that look good. This one is just a design that looks good, but I totally understand those who like it more. As for air assault. The head shape throws me off. There is no jaw and the general curve/shape makes it so much worse. Never been a fan. Let me know your thoughts

@Midzit The reason I like it is because I like that unique robotic feel and design and it works with a lot of slimmer builds imo. But I guess it's just an acquired taste or something, idk.
Personally would have put Operator a bit higher. Back in the 360 days that was my go to helmet with a blue visor. Looked really good if done right. Now do the MCC reach helmets next.

Both makes sense, i think operator was just cool because it has that little flashlight thing and kinda has a specialist feeling to it. This was my first video but I will definitely be watching more since Titanfall 2 in my opinion is one of the best games of the 2010 decade

Because TitanFall2 is my favourite Multiplayer FPS I always run the Pilot helmet.
