    Thank you for this! You're the only person that actually informed people of the self employment tax for the real estate "active" business. I've been researching REP status heavily & that has never been brought up in articles, blogs, podcasts, videos, etc.

    Great video but it gets complicated. It would be great if you did a video about just disregarded entitie or sole propertie llc and another video about s and c llc

    Looking to set up an LLC to receive my commissions as a mortgage broker. I service loans in several states, but I live in CA, and my brokerage firm is based in CA. Would it make sense to establish the LLC in an anonymity-friendly state like Wy or DE, or should I stick with CA @ $800?

    Also you pay nothing on distributions that are a 1:1 return of capital. Because there is no gain.

      Correct. You are only taxed on the income generated by the LLC not on distributions.
