Even though the rest of the Aespa is good at English, Japanese and Chinese I highly doubt that they'd actually remember the word for black in French on the spot. And that's not anything bad, they're Korean and Chinese, French wasn't exactly mandatory for them. They all speak above average English and Giselle teaches them a lot and they're exposed to western media but they still first asked Giselle to give them male English name with J, simply because Giselle is the only one who is fully comfortable with English.
