This is awesome Christopher. I got your wonderful book. Thank you so much ! I'm enjoying learning this style and having these videos to help me is so helpful !! Thank you
Some nice playing of Our Sergeant Major there. Sounds different without the full split stroke. Great to hear somebody in the USA really breaking down George Formby’s style fantastic video pleased I stumbled across it. Will be checking out all your others 👍🏼
Christopher-that’s a lovely tutorial. You always do great work- I’m just not used to your hair being so long! You’re going to have to go into punk rock! 😀
I see a cafe du mont coffee can!! Such good coffee I like your style!! Also thanks for the lesson I’ve been watching your videos and have been practicing I appreciate it!!!
This was made by Wunderkammer instruments. The only Ukulele I need in my life :) Here's a little review I did on it a while back: ruclips.net/video/a2OxqeKZJsU/видео.html
The reality is I never quite bonded with the neck on my banjolele. I love the sound for some stuff but I"m planning to have a new neck made to match my Wunderkammer. I think comfort on an instrument really trumps everything.
I always thought "Leaning on a Lamp" was a Herman's Hermits Song. :) First heard the song in1966 during my formative music years. At 70+ years old now I have discovered the Ukulele and George Formby. Spent my musical life in a guitar driven time warp of 50's and 60's rockabilly and British rock. I can play most all my time warp songs on a ukulele but I have become fascinated with George Formby and his style. Watched lots of instruction and have the split stroke, thumb roll, triplet, fan stroke down pretty well. Was having trouble figuring out where and when to use them and how to solo Formby style. You sir, have cleared a lot of my confusion up. I would like to be on your list to purchase your book when it is released. A HUGE THANK YOU
Hi Christopher....just a few questions for you. About the handbook, how much and where to purchase it. Also do you mind if I ask about the uke you play with the moon on the fretboard, what brand etc.? Thanks
