Brilliant film of a story ignored by the media and Australian Government for too long. Having been in fire fights I can viscerally feel the tension in the film waiting for it to kick off. It is great to see a film that tells a story without glorifying the horror faced by those who had no choice but to fight. No-one truly wins wars, old men making decisions paid for with the lives of the young. Great script, great cinematography, great editing. Thank you.

Although having extreme interest in the Australian role in the vietnam war before this movie came, this was a major motivation for me to finally go to the long tan battle field. Yesterday was one of the most sobering experiences of my life, laying flowers and paying my respects to the young Australian men who fought and paid the ultimate sacrifice in long tan. Lest we forget
