@@Labronzo34 I know that. I’ve handled 50 BMG guns in real life. I’m more so speaking on the design decision of having a longer TTK except for cheesy guns like this. It makes for a pretty grating experience where you dump tons of rounds into someone but then they 1SK you instantly. TTK is all over the place and I’d honestly prefer the more honest TTK of MW19 where everything killed fast so dying to 1 shot weapons wasn’t as frustrating
@@seann2769 personally I don’t and I think the Ttk is still pretty quick in this game mw2019 did a lot of things wrong so anything from that game is garbage but I still get killed in 4 shots to most assault rifles like the brand new stg and the smg isn’t far behind it so it’s not all 1 shot weapons that are the problem and especially not this it’s slow and clunky and has a delay when you go to ads after shooting it’s strong but it’s a .50 cal in a video game they aren’t trying to make a pea shooter .50 cal like the Cold War Barrett that only had a 1 shot pre patch to the upper chest and the slowest ads of all snipers

I noticed all of a sudden I was dying so fast by RPKs, and behold! I hadn't noticed this weeks Weekly unlock. Unlocked it, and spent the following 30 minutes LMAO at how ridiculous it was. Pure comedy, I don't remember last time CoD actullay made me cry of laughter. WTH is SHG thinking, if at all, with this kit. Not even the KAR was so absurd.
Brandon Herrera is absolutely flabbergasted at this. Also, I'd argue that this is great for ground war, maybe even one of the best. That rate of fire combined with great damage would make it great for flag defense/flank watch. Perhaps this would even be a great anti-vehicle/anti-killstreak weapon
@@raptonsoul2557 Yup, I always associated that with terrible map design. In 2019, the two launch maps didn't have a ton of lines of sight from the spawn areas, so you had to push out to capture the good vantage points

I play almost exclusively 10v10 and this gun ruined a lot of my lobbies last night. There are so many more campers now with this gun and its so frustrating to get the first 2-3 hits on your opponent only for them to one shot you because the flinch is so low
@@impicklerick7510 Hot take but the moment you hit 2-3 shots on a sniper their aim should be way off target to where they can't hit you. They should get the one shot off before getting shot.
That’s one area call of duty needs to improve. When someone is taking damage by getting shot then it needs to affect their aiming and mobility. You get the drop on someone like a corner camper or a jumping/sliding sweat, they shouldn’t be able to 180/slide/jump, lock on and laser you no matter what gun they’re using.
The fact they thought about sniper rifle aim assist, but didn't think about flinch resistance or hipfire spread, classic SHG weapon balancing, better use it now before it gets nerfed like a lot of the other released weapons.
Does anyone else watch Brandon the AK Guy, they fully built this thing and just dropped the final painted version of it. Oh yeah and it is BUSTED in MP, and nasty in WZ.

Funny thing is that even though it's technically now a sniper, it's still considered an lmg. So if you need to get 5 lmg kills for the daily challenge, it will count.
God I don't understand why SHG's corrupt balance philosophy doesn't bother more people. I'm glad I dropped this game. The biggest counter argument I've heard is that releasing the guns overpowered incentivizes using them which adds variety. I hate that argument because it couldn't be more wrong. When a few things are blatantly overpowered it hurts literally every other gun in the game which makes less variety. It's pisses me off even more because I know the only reason why they release these guns overpowered is because it rewards people who buy the battlepass and for the aftermarket kits creates a pattern of grinding every season to artificially ramp up your playtime. It's a soul-less and creatively bankrupt loop. Without major changes I'm not buying another SHG COD again. I'll stick with IW and Treyarch at least they still give a shit.

I run almost exclusively SMGs and go 2.00 83% of the time. You just need to get better at map movement & combat movement instead of blaming the game. Just being honest bro.

Isnt it surprising that everytime theres an op weapon, it is either a sniper or a melee weapon? Nobody possibly could have saw that coming. When they made the characters 150 health instead of 100, the only thing it does is nerf every gun except one shot weapons like snipers and most melee. So obviously everytime theres an op gun its a sniper or a knife.
No flinch isn't even what makes it so overpowered, it's the fact that it has absolutely no aiming idle sway. XRK Stalker and this gun have similar ADS speeds when maxed out, but the XRK Stalker has huge aiming idle sway.
It is very fun to use I’ve even brought it into warzone and it performed well enough especially for follow up shots on downed enemies or when taking on multiple enemies
For them to bring back the OG AS50 from the original mw3 is a call back to the raw power of this sniper kit from the RPK and for it to be my most favorite is why I'm glad it came to the game
I was honestly expecting it to be a one shot headshot and two shot body, but i guess we got way more than we were asking for. ive been going for headshots with this weapon and it feels amazing!!!
I think this is a fun kit, and one side of me is happy. There's finally a worthwhile kit, but I was playing consecutive 10v10 matches, and it's insufferable to play against this. Even using overpressured rounds, enemies seem to have no flinch.
I find this thing to be a more snappy Signal but it works very well with my playstyle of killing sway and flinch with attachments since ads is usually not a problem for me
Anyone else not getting their saved weapon modifications coming up on the " available" section. I had so many saved and now I have to rebuild each one 😢
Not that this holds the kit back much in normal MP because it doesn't have nearly as much aiming idle sway as the other snipers, but it also doesn't give the ability to focus/hold your breath with anything but 7.0x+ magnification scopes. Definitely needs a bit more to keep the kit in check.
Even if it completely sucked as a weapon, it would still be my favorite because of how absolutely monstrous it sounds. I would’ve preferred for it to be an SVD/Dragunov, though
They need to make MW2 guns armory unlocks instead of needing to use bad MW2 guns to other MW2 guns. I just got done unlocking the M16 and now I need to unlock the RPK using this terrible system.

I'd consider myself around the average in terms of skill, maybe very slightly towards the upper end of average, but with this gun I'm punching WELL above my weight in terms of K/D in lobbies vs much more skilled opponents. It's literally easymode. Just click basically anywhere on the guy once, and he fucking explodes.

I came across this last night, made a build for it and ran some invasion. This is completely broken. It's a more high powered dmr. Zero recoil and zero flinch.
Also forgot to mention that the kit has armor piercing rounds by default since it can get a 5 man collat, while other snipers need to equip armor piercing to do that
One mild thing to note about the Cataclysm: You can't hold your breath while aiming down sights. (not nearly enough of a downside though) As for me, I refuse to use it until the hipfire and flinch resistance get nerfed.
The low flinch is a massive oversight, it makes this thing completely ridiculous on top of everything else. Why use anything else when you can just 1 shot everything with 15 rounds between reloads?
I recognize I'm a creep. But Ace had to do the 250 Point Blank kills challenge for the STG44 On zombies to unlock that full black camo he's using for the balanced build.
Imo it’s fine for 6v6. Let’s not forget how op the kar98 is. For nerf considerations I see kar98 at all ranges more than this. I mostly play small map mosh pit.
I personally recommend this to be nerfed by increasing the recoil, reducing the magazine capacity to 8, opening the hipfire crosshairs and flinch resistance to sniper levels, and potentially even reducing the 1 hit kill potential to the lower torso from 51m to around 35mish leaving the upper torso for 1 hit kills at longer ranges. Another thing I just tried is the scarlet box laser for 0% hipfire while still, that needs to be removed too.
Remember the carrack? Remember how it's been in the game for over a year and it's still unusable garbage and could have very easily filled this role, but why would the gun balancing team ever do that?

They're super quick nerfing the aftermarket kits when they're OP and this will be made useless in a week or two. I'm sure they do it on purpose for those who unlock it straight away to have fun with then it gets nerfed into the ground.

I was just laughing the whole time while playing it. This is the most OP weapon I’ve ever used in COD period.
This time RPK is slow at least, Kar98 literally ads in 300 ms and have excelent muzzle velocity.

I foresee a big nerf to the hip fire on this gun, which I'm in favor of. Also, a buff to the signal 50 so it's not completely outclassed by this gun.

just tried it out... this is stupidly strong
One mild thing to note about the Cataclysm: You can't hold your breath while aiming down sights. (not nearly enough of a downside though)
As for me, I refuse to use it until the hipfire and flinch resistance get nerfed.
You can with the high power optics.
The low flinch is a massive oversight, it makes this thing completely ridiculous on top of everything else. Why use anything else when you can just 1 shot everything with 15 rounds between reloads?
I'm not surprised this is overpowered. They're probably selling this in an operator bundle. Got to make it good to sell those bundles.

Imo it’s fine for 6v6. Let’s not forget how op the kar98 is. For nerf considerations I see kar98 at all ranges more than this. I mostly play small map mosh pit.
At least the Kar has flinch.
I want them to make a statistically great Sniper conversion kit that becomes a LMG/AR/or SMG that uses sniper AA
I personally recommend this to be nerfed by increasing the recoil, reducing the magazine capacity to 8, opening the hipfire crosshairs and flinch resistance to sniper levels, and potentially even reducing the 1 hit kill potential to the lower torso from 51m to around 35mish leaving the upper torso for 1 hit kills at longer ranges.
Another thing I just tried is the scarlet box laser for 0% hipfire while still, that needs to be removed too.
Whats better the Cataclysm or the Jak protean, both are locked so I'm wondering which one to grind towards unlocking first ?
Remember the carrack? Remember how it's been in the game for over a year and it's still unusable garbage and could have very easily filled this role, but why would the gun balancing team ever do that?
I hope they dont nerf it too hard. Let us have fun for once. Probably add more flinch but the ads speed and one shot potential should stay the same.

Based on the looks and being a LMG I honestly thought this kit conversion made it an automatic .50 LMG with just 15 rounds per mag.

Never has something needed a nerf so quickly. My lobbies are full of them and it's unbearable.
They're super quick nerfing the aftermarket kits when they're OP and this will be made useless in a week or two. I'm sure they do it on purpose for those who unlock it straight away to have fun with then it gets nerfed into the ground.
Fixing flinch and hipfire should give this gun enough down sides to dissuade most sweaty users.

For a shot gun I seem to get a hell of a lot of hit markers. Even on small maps.
Its also funny you cant use tac stance but you can equip the canted laser
