Imagine the Planters as the evil royal family, who hide their evil side and Sprig being the most evil + manipulating out all of them~ It would also be interesting to see a personality swap between the girls. Imagine a nerdy Sasha, controlling Anne and a strong-willed and confident Marcy.
I would find it pretty hard for them to get into a sword fight in the first place since, Anne and Marcy are close friends, the only way I could see the fight happening is if Marcy accidentally reveals that she was the one who got the trio stuck in Amphibia to Anne.

Was Marcy the one who brought the calamity trio, and if so, I'll assume that she fell in with the Hopes to learn about friendship and such, while Anne learned to be more independent. Did Sasha know about Andrias's plans? From what is seen in the song, it seems that she was aware of this, so perhaps the lesson for her is to learn that not everything can be under her control. I really love how the song feels like Sasha and Andrias are arguing about the right thing, like Sasha throughout her stay in Amphibia has evaded the consequences I have many doubts about this AU and sadly they will never be resolved :c

Basically that's when Marcy comes clean to Anne about the music box, and seeing as Anne got the toads in this au and was forced into being a child soldier (she doesn't connect with grime like Sasha does) she is rightfully extremely mad and fights Marcy over it. Scar happens the same way.
