Thank you VERY much for the video. Have a 2016 GLC300 in the U.S. The 4 hardest parts are 1. Getting the top of the door card/panel free. 2. Getting the damn LED light out once you find it. 3. Getting the door panel back on properly. 4. Getting the door handle back on if the latching mechanism has been moved . I did this last year after watching the video and it took me about 2 hours. I just did my second door and it actually took me 2 1/2 hours. But wow, the amount of satisfaction when it works again! Had driver door fail under warranty, just completed my second rear door out-of-warranty. And now I've decided to just change replace the passenger door light because it's the only one that is original and has that purplish hue. It's going to fail sometime in the next few years anyway.
on mine, the t20 screw does not unscrew all the way, it unscrews till it stops then you can remove the plastic bit leaving the screw in place. The last thing you want is the screw to fall down in side the door
My door cables do not stay out like yours once the handle is removed. They go back inside the door and the handle will not reconnect. What should I do?
@@RazvanVB54 no i take the car to MB servis becose there wasnt problem with lamp but some electricity. When i asked you must removed inside the door to change the lamp.

Same thing here
Did you ever figure out how to fix that issue? I’m having the same problem
Nvm got it, you just pull the metal rods out with a screw driver until they stay in place then stick the door handle in and slide to the left
@@wassimmadoui868 I tried for an hour, but the metal rods fall back in.They DO NOT STAY OUT!!!!
@@stevenscholtespa5409mines doing same thing
What’s that little black part called that you remove between the door and door handle that allows the door handle to shut
my door handle on W222 (basically the same handle mechanism) fell off and now I cannot assamble it back, makes me crazy
Thanks for this video, are you using just a regular screw driver?
That is a torx t20 not a screwdriver
@@DFCGarage how many turns? All the way out?
@@joeyengebretson3110 all the way out, the bolt will not fall downhill into the door
How can i change the tittle led lamp on the door handle ?
Did you manage to change the little lamp?!

What is the purpose of removing the screw in the beginning? Does it hold something in place?
If you don't unscrew it is impossible to remove the door handle
how is the chrome trim piece on top of handle removed?
This is what I wanna know
