👍👍Amazing Dave! Really adds to Gruesome Gulch...Helldorado Mine the perfect name. The "Fire down below" really heats things up. Bats & Skeleton very nice touch. 🚂🚂

I know Arizona has some extinct volcanoes. Did those boys at the mine push their shaft too deep into an active lava flow? Great build! Just love how it is coming along.

The bats really set it off, gave me a Carlsbad caverns feeling. Wonderful mine, I'll be needing this for my Phantom Canyon RR.

I think the Helldorado Mine adds a lot of flavor definitely helps tie everything together.. Have you thought about adding some mine tailings? Not sure there is room for that but it might be worth thinking about.

I can see this model RR being used by Knott's to create a coaster type haunted mine ride. DO NOT mess with Calico but a all new ride. (Think Matterhorn in old west) Nice work as always.

There is a lot of UV in some LEDs. A UV fluorescent paint for mineral veins might make a cool highlight. Lock Tight makes UV resin with tiny removable UV LED lights in the lid. God source for the lamps.

    Great fun build Dave.
I even love the skeleton hanging out for some moon rays.
HOWEVER. when you were building the shack I had one thought in mind. YUP! Animation!
☠️"For your consideration" ☠️ (~Rod Sterling) if you had placed a small servo motor in the shed that would raise and release the mine rope. Then allow the rope to descend "just shy" of the shaft bracing. Then precariously hanging to the line, Indiana Jones style, is a chubby older man, with gray moustachioed & bearded face, wearing a TMRR baseball cap, for eternity. Or until the next rebuild. Which ever comes first!
But then the Heldorado Mine is yours not MINE.😢😊
    Jim in N.Y.

That's correct. I'm not in the retail kit business anymore, however I do make some parts from my builds available to Thunder Mesa Studio members.

Dear Dave, great build, love the level of dilapidation you’ve achieved. Cool to see those led’s lighting up the mine shaft. Looking awesome.
Makes me wonder if there’s a spot on the Gruesome Gulch where you can achieve a similar effect where the miners have accidentally struck a magma chamber? That might even further tie in the visual story the infamous coffin layout is telling.
As always, love the vid, so many techniques flashed out to improve the modeling. Cheerio

    Hi Dave
Love the lighting effects for the Helldorado mine my personal opinion the mine is a little bit small not sure about the skeleton play time even though its in theme.
They defiantly dug to deep, good job the shaft is too small for the ancient evil to climb up and have a physical presence love the variations on other structures your using kind of gives an other worldly Thunder Mesa feel to the project that I like. The underground proves you have gone batty LOL, just how easy to see in the real world are the bats
The wrecked cage caught up so its not down at the bottom .might have been an interesting addition to the shaft
    regards John

Another fantastic build. Would you consider adding just a touch of glow in the dark paint to the ore veins for a hint of something "shiny" when its dark?

I just found this channel. I have never seen the piece drawn and then used as a pattern. I did that to build my trestle. If you dont mind? Where do you get your nut and bolt castings?
