Merry Christmas @seeker2seeker . My wife and I didn't want to lie about Santa to our kids. However, when my son was 3 he said he wanted to/did believe. We were all in after that, not going over the top but a few cool gifts, leave out cookies, answer the questions in line with the "mythology" etc. But we have avoided using it as a scare tactic for good behaviour and told them santa does not give out coal, for similar reason as to why we dont like the concept of heaven and hell. I really enjoyed this video and your thoughts ( it reminds me of the message at the end of the imagination land trilogy from south park lol)
This is beautiful. I tell my 11 yo daughter more or less the same. St. Nick lived once. And the spirit of generosity and kindness he inspired lives on. Thus he exists.

Like Aleksei, I lost my belief in Santa while there was one digit in my age; but I still love decorating and gifting and making a special dinner with oodles of cookies and pumpkin pie and eggnog. Celebrating life and the love that abounds in it doesn't need Santa or La Befana or Ded Moroz. Just a grateful heart and an open mind.
