So nice to finally have video and see your beautiful faces while you talk. Hughes of course is so charismatic, smart, and it's been great to see him rise to such prominence in the niche political and art space, what a great guest to launch this season with. While I sometimes disagree with you two, you're both so lovely and bright, I know you're ok with disagreement (a good character trait that is so maligned) you're both compelling and remarkably accomplished of course, and I just enjoy your virtual company. This was such a fun episode. All the very best.
What a fantastic episode! Interesting viewpoints and perspectives. All three of you delivered intelligent and personal ideas in an entertaining manor. Thank you! I didn’t want it to end.
Regarding "long covid" - I am one of these idiots who suffer from it. I'm 45 now, and have never had any health issues before. I'm also a guy who usually works out five times per week, with up-hill running and bench press as my main activites. I've had covid twice now. The first time I was totally out of order for something like four months after, the second time it's eighth months (and still increasing). That being said: I'm also very sceptical to some of the sufferers. The one person who convinced me it could be real was a guy I met who had it. He's a wrestling coach for the national team, and made out of a mixture of steel and concrete ... And now he was mostly lying in bed, waiting it out. I 100% believe it was real for him, that guy didn't want to decay and turn old, he was a real fighter. Others, maybe not so much ...
Fan of both podcasts for some time... Your RUclips intro visuals are fine. It's nice to see voices embodied... And get the added expression offered this way! Interestingly, I also found everyone a bit deflated in this presentation. TLDR: background too prominent, everyone "seemed" somewhat uncomfortable in seating posture and orientation to each other. Partly, I think it's Coleman's current studio setup and background. I've been watching his assorted videos for a while, but I feel both Zoom-like and stage-type formats were less distracting and more flattering. Maybe just version 1.0 rough edges. It drives home how difficult the studio type video can be. The "cross a table" format seems easier for traditional media as well. The mic booms and background seemed unfortunately visually prominent here. Not perfect, but ... Yang's Forward podcast has comfortable seating, no table, but has conversants positioned more across, and used low mount mic booms and backgrounds that are slightly less prominent through some combo of composition, focus, and lighting. Bill Maher's Club Random also creates a great relaxed setting, but does it with mega$ setup and multiple intoxicants 😅! Anyway still a great group and conversation!
I love you all but it’s a bit phony for Normies to declare mental conditions such as autism, ADD 0r OCD. Those who suffer from those afflictions have serious and real challenges. It’s become trendy, almost bragging rights to say .. “oops that’s my XYZ kicking in.” It makes light of those who suffer real symptoms. It’s like telling someone with physical anxiety that.. oh, I have anxiety too.

14:17 In this anecdote, I wasn't expecting the dichotomy to end quite that way. I had in mind something more like "or do I shut up and get laid?" 😂
Videooooo. Yessssss 🎉 🙌
I rather like the visuals... though I listen to the podcast on the way to and from playing bridge, so that won't work. But congrats! Love the intro.
Thanks for listening!

Coleman's girlfriend is sooooo lucky! He is incredibly smart, knowledgeable and charming!

yes. you are heroes.
Great!
53:43 I'm from Southern Illinois feeling so called out 😂
A lot of bullshit sounds good.
Seeking the truth is so important. I'm sorry to hear Coleman Hughes lost his Mom. He is so young. I feel for him.
Coleman and Sarah would make a great couple.

You might not feel the same way about sleep 40 years from now. 🙂
