same with twilight, i pulled 2nd boss floor from the cage-buff floor by proccing twilight 2 times, wiped us pretty hard.

To my knowledge, Ineffable Truth is really good for Gluttony Veng DH because it means you can Fracture more, which means you get Souls faster, which means you proc Meta more often. So just wanted to throw that out there. :)

Once I realized that ineffable truth reduced the cooldown of interrupt aswell it was a no brainer for me to get it on my havoc dh. It's dps/ corruption is also insane, especially on aoe
It's a bit weird with barrage build cause it desyncs everything and it doesn't lower it enough to use with blood of the enemy either (2x). I don't have the trinket from sethralis so i might work with that giving you an extra barrage? no clue.
you fricken blew my mind when you did the calculations on Ineffable I compared to II. thats some big brain time.
From my experience if you play a Prot Warrior x1/x2 Ineffable Truths could be a nice corruption setup with versatility if you play high keys, like +15-+25 (if you do the avatar build) +9% versatility on every single gear piece except 2 that goes with ineffable truths, you will be capped at 60 corruption with rank 15 cloak. But you should be able to manage that damage and if you play with single target stun like Storm bolt to stun the Grand Delusion if necessary.
An interesting thing to consider when buying corruption is what pieces can work well for your tank and DPS specs(or heal specs for paladins/monks/druids), at least when you start building your kit. Vengeance, as you mentioned, might find Versatile > Expedient, but Havoc finds Expedient > Versatile. So, if you do both, maybe your defensive DH tank kit is more focused towards Expedient simply for the fact that you either don't have the spare pieces for that slot or because you didn't have the echoes to buy both and had to consider how best to balance things.
The danger there being of course that it's not the best at either and might slow you in the long run. But it's a quick way to bootstrap both into viability. And definitely something to consider if you happen to get something like that for "free" on a random piece of gear.
Though, if you're like me and that character is a secondary one, perhaps finding a place where everything is good if not perfect might be optimal since you're devoting time more to a main.

If you are doing 20+ keys, just vers stack is probably beat. If you are doing lower keys, you probably want td.
It's also worth mentioning that vers stack really isn't necessary until 23-24+ keys. However, if you only pug keys like me and don't have a group, as a tank, I'd rather stack vers so that I don't have to rely on my healer as much. This works best for me. I still have a td 3 set if I want to use it.
I ran 3 surging vitality 3 for a few fights in mythic Nyalotha particularly drestagath where tank damage is almost not needed. (well until i figured out i could take TD and slap maws while tanking the boss sometimes) Full surging vitality got me to around 50% verse when up which was insane for both mitigation and healing i could do. While I know its not the most optimal the tank weapon from Wrathion has been good for a filler piece at times, only 30 corruption and like EV its consistent damage. Look at this way its kind of like having a rank 1 TD where you give up some damage but know its going off approx every 20-30 seconds.
On my brewmaster i enjoy a high crit build with impassive visage, fit to burst, and bloodthirst urchin for a high self sustain for those cases if the healer is slightly lacking or so healer can dps a bit more. I can hit 89% crit and sustain 77-80% crit over the whole entire fight. Also run 1 glimpse on my monk and it gives me a lot more brews over a longer fight for more purifying. Currently running 2 t2 Severe and a t3 Deadly and a t2 deadly and a glimpse of clarity. with food buff I sit at just shy of 53% crit before procs.

Interested to see what happens when we reach 125 corruption resist on our cloaks, and have a budget for 184. I think there is a scenario where we see 4 dps 1 tank mythic + runs on teeming weeks, with 1 or 2 leech corruptions depending on class.
While this scenario sounds cool, although its just not how it'll be, cause if you can do say a 20 key with this setup, you can most likely do a 22 with a healer and just more dmg corruptions, so while it sounds cool and totally might be viable it'll never be any sort of meta
Leech corruptions are sadly really expensive corruption-wise. You get 8% leech fo 45 corruption. You probably need 2 of those for any meaningful content (you can allready run low to mid keys without a healer on most weeks if you want to). Those 90 corruptions could also be spent on twilight 3 + stat % 2. Plus your healer can run full offensive corruptions too. 4-5 more twilight 3 in your group will very likely be still faster than a 4th dps and you can go for bigger pulls and get less punished by mistakes.
I am sure there will be people who run 15 keys without a healer because they are a full premade group and none of them want to heal. But I highly doubt people will run 4 dps because it is actually good or even better for meaninful content.
@@ralfrudi3963 we've already cleared 15th key (motherlode) almost with +2 result with 5 dhs without any corruption or healer :D but it was in season 3, not 4. but in any way I think its possible in S4 without healer just with 5 tanks or with 5 DHs (2 tanks + 3 dps) with tons of TD. you can find that 15+ key video on my channel and even video with M+ soloing in time. so imagine what can 5 tanks with TD do :D
TD7 will be 40 corruption at 125+10, that'll be fun during Rallying + Last stand for me atleast. :)

For Blood DK the discord is saying the vers is for over 22+ keys and you'll know when you need it. Till then just stack as much TD as you can get/handle.
I'm surprised, maybe it's because I don't really follow dratnos, but this is a tanking video I actually agree with! A lot of misinformation out there, but this vid is pretty on point.
Hey Dratnos, I know this isn't your kind of video but could you possibly do a rapid fire tips video on M+? For example, you can stand outside of the boss arena on the last boss of motherload and be safe from the room wide aoe that drops. Another example would be that you can feign death a few mechanics as a hunter such as the fixate on the Dino boss in Atal'dazar. There's a lot of little tricks you can do to make a run feel smoother and faster but there's no video out there to show people what these tricks are, they're only heard of from person to person. Oh, another one could be that you can dps KUJO behind the box if you position yourself properly (I believe there's even a weak aura for it).
I stack Twilight Devastation for my Protection Paladin to run Horrific Vision. Up to TD 5 now.

infinite stars is also a bit of an execute ability on progress fights
RNG gave me a lot of EV. so in testing on some of the assaults the damage meter does say its doing a decent amount of damage. but, you just can't feel it when you have a lot of mobs. Where as TD 1 proc of r3 or r4 and everything is just dead.
another issue is it can discharge out of combat. so it seems like it may be a liability in any situation where you are trying to stealth past some mobs, or break CC early.

i have some times as a paladin 91% Versatility and its op a fuck, the healers dont have the heal me in normal raid, and a little bit of healing in HC

I'm seeing some stuff about the week 5 corruptions available not necessarily resetting to week 1- instead becoming one of the other random 8 sets that will have been available by the time the 4 weeks are up. It makes me conflicted to wait for week 1 to return for vers 3 rather than grabbing vers 2 once it appears. I don't know, is there any merit to these rumors/datamining?

Hi Dratnos what about some ineffable truth on brewmaster? A lot of CDs going on there. Im looking at keg smash, fire breath and Ironskin brew (especially considering the crippling 7 min cd time)

My blood dk has two items already with twilight devastation III and infinite stars III, i swap them out depending om situation. Normally i have TD in but when i tank only the boss like in some fights theni put IS in. Works very good. ^^
Kind of curious. Any shenanigans to be had with stacking high avoidance?
I have had no luck with corruptions on my Vengence DH, until 2 weeks ago, I got an Echoing Void 3 from my weekly, a few of my friends laughed and said Rip.. But its really good.. 😂.. This week on my 5 mask run I got TD2 boots so I now now Echoing Void 3 and TD2, sitting at 26 corruption and happy :). My Guardian has all the luck. 30% TD :/
How do you upgrade the level of corruption? From 1 to 3?
Brewmasters can use the weapon from maut as well the same one as guardian druid.
It's only good for druids cause their auto attack is set to 2secs so they get more procs
also monk have like half the HP from a Bear, so its a lot worse
Tanks should stack as much Twilight Dev and you should have 25 of them in your raid and you'll kill everything faster than any other group.

Can you re-corrupt items now ? If not there is not much point since some corruptions scales with ilvl and there is no way to get uncorrupted 470+ items except myhtic raid. Also I think GW is still best choice simply because its proc rate. It could be up all the time. Where TA is so much rng. You can get zero proc on 3mins fight or you can get 3 of them up in same time. It's not reliable corruption.
You can re-corrupt items you gained after 5/20. And GW is getting a huge nerf.

I'm gonna run with 2x R1 Ineffable Truth and 7x 12% vers on my prot warrior in the very end.
I play DH Tank and I've stacked only echoing void for awhile now and its been pretty damn good for me. Usually does around 26% of my damage on a run and has very high up time. I'm really hesitant in switching that out with td 3. I pretty much only run 15-17 keys, so I'm not really sure if I should drop some echoing void to try out a td. I've tried a td in the past and had it proc so little it just doesn't seem worth it to me over echoing void.
How much dmg we talking about? are you doing 50-60k overall? For me twilight has done even 50m on a rank 4, tough echoing would be superior in lower content if you're pulling consistently more than 5 mobs, like 8-20 at once.
echoing void is simply worse. Running Rank 5 TD on my VDH and it generally does 50%+ of my overall DPS. For flavor, i'm usually doing 50k+ overall DPS in "low dps" dungeons like KR, and over 70k in higher dps dungeons like FH or ML. I've tried echoing void and it doesn't even come close.

If I may ask, is it worth stacking Twilight Devastation? If so, which kit is preferable? 25, 50 or 75% Corruption? Apologies, if this sounded noobish, but I re-joined WOW just a month back after quitting back in Cata. I've upgraded my Prot Pally's cloak to 15, but I only have a resistance of 53. Even though I put out decent dps in mythics below 10, I'm somewhat struggling with survivability on higher keys and I'm mulling whether or not I should sacrifice offense for defence here.
I’m sad you didn’t talk about tiers of twilight dev. So wearing say 8x tier 1 twilight dev vs 2x tier 3 and a tier 2 twilight dev. Proc chance vs damage. I’m curious which is better, if anyone knows!

Nope it doesnt. Stacking 8x1 does exactly the same as 2x3+1x2. Same proc chance, same dmg. It just takes up more slots which might be a problem

(I can definitely speak in favor of TD in Visions. A double proc led me to 293k dps against Rexxar and the fight over in under 20s, lol.)
under 39 or 59 if ur comfortable.
So rank 5 or rank 6 when I get good procs my DK can do 62k overall dps for a run.
How does Avoidaint II compare to Avoidant I? Since Rank 2 is on the vendor now, I was thinking about getting one maybe, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Should I just wait for Avoidaint Rank 1 instead?
U should never get avoidant. It’s pure dogshit
It's just bad. Avoidance 2 gives like 15% dr off 2.5k stat, but in most cases, you shouldn't get hitted by things that avoidance is supposed to dr.

Im a vengeance DH and I have 2x Lash of the Void. What else should I get?
If you want to be more offensive then get twilight devastation rank 2 (because rank 3 will be too much corruption) or you can get rank 3 twilight and 1 lash of the void, you can fill then with versatile or expedient, I personally run TD rank 3 and 2 because I don’t have problems surviving. If you want survivability then 1 expedient and fill everything else with versatility.
Prot warrior stack TD lll and TD ll + haste or versa. Gg 80k overall

Hey Drat! I run a prot pala, lvl 4 td + 1 ineff.. problem is my rank 3 td is on a 450 piece. Should I prioritize buying another lvl 3 to swap? How bad is it to have lower ilvl item (avg equiped is 476)
Ilvl isn't really meaningful in this patch, eventually you should swap this piece, but if you not in rush, you can wait few weeks.
@@TDesko lel, IL is the main prio for tanks unless you have bis corruption, been like that since i started tanking pre Battle of Dazar. Tho I played pally so I didn't really have to care about stats since they benefit ALOT from all stats compared to other tanks.

@@TDesko i'm doing 700k+ crits with stand up, but yeah, you demon hunters have like 300-400k more HP than us warriors sadly, but we have better mitigation imo. DH's goes from 100->0 asap meanwhile warriors stay above 80-90% at all times unless the healer dies.

prio Versatile or surging vitality for BrM monks?
I belive you take versatile when you have more then about 1k in raw stat. Maybe even as high as 1.5k. Mainly you want the consistent dmg reduction over the proc, since even tho SV has a high uptime of like 55% on long flights. You'll likely mitigate more (on longer fights) with versatile. Dungeons however, are a toss up. If you kill packs in 30 sec all the time, you could have a SV up the whole pull.
So i managed to stack a bunch of versatile and still have budget for TD2 without killing myself, good point is it does up the damage of the TD so instead of proccing up and down now sit at a floor of 25% verse and CF brings me up to around 33-34% with CF minor and other procs still get me to around 50% which makes the TD2 effectively a TD3 in damage. By end of expac it will be complete lunacy probably be at 40% base verse and something like a rank 3 TD to toss on top, which with procs will hit like a 5 ranks of TD in most situations. If you aren't legion MDI pulling by then, don't know what to tell ya lol

It has been about a week, or two that I have been watching your guides and all but I have this one tiny problem. And that has to do with dungeon pathing in your guide posted on raider.io and that is, I am unable to interpret it. So, I request you tell me how to read those pictures with color dots on every dungeon map lol
If you have MDT, you can see the pulls on the ride side of the dungeon map. You can click each pull and itll highlight the pack on the map. Pretty clear once you realize that.
As a high geared Blood DK, How much corruption should be my limit?
Depending on how comfortable u are, u can run either R5 TD or R6 TD. R5 has no cascading/thing from beyond, I believe

Something that i miss here: Guardigan druide and masterfull! i dont use it because i prefer vers stacking but i see tanks doing it. I kinda always argue about this with one tank i know.

Get your numbers right, 2x Ineffable 1 does not = 60% cdr, all it does is increase your chances of getting 30% cdr. As the cdr% DOES NOT stack.
