Excellent ending with the guitar and the narural close by captions of each of you. One of my best friends surfed the same waves in the 90's and falled in love with Puerto, unfotunatelly he passed away surfing thousands of miles away and never ever could return to La Zicatela. When I watched this video and the guitar playing a lot of memories about him came to me. His visit to Puerto gave him the joy and peace he was looking for. Some local took him pictures in very thick barrels and he bought them, these were the most precious souvenir he brought with him back home to show us. You guys have made me to think about him, he was gone more than 20 years ago, thank you for posting, cheers!

that opening clip is about the coolest image of surfing i’ve ever seen. it would have been epic to see you make that wave on a 9-0, but the heroic effort on that 7-5 will go down in surf history as one of the greatest attempts! you almost landed it... it was a perfect wave...like a giant cloudbreak peak slabbing hard.

I was there for 3 weeks in march of 78, pre airport. it was so fun. WE climbed for coconuts and fished for tuna in a sm boat. I finally got the tubes i saw at the movie theaters of Jerry et al. It was great at the point everyday too. Pre thruster i had a 7'4" Andreni diamond tail.
Man, you can't tell me the whole experience, from the paddle out to the wipeout isn't heavier there than it is at pipe. Only factor I would give consideration as the reef, but that, by all accounts, appears to be a much heavier wave and good on you for the balls 🤘🤙
