This is what works for me and the routine I have developed for myself, if this does not work for you, try layering the moisturizing products I mentioned, or using an oil for your barrier instead of Vaseline. Different strokes for different folks. 🙃

Apply a moisturizing product to wet, damp skin (lotion, body oil, etc)
Rub vaseline on pulse points (wrist, neck..)
Put on fragranced lotion
Quickly spray perfume on top before the lotion absorbs
Work on one limb at a time to be thorough
Spritz your clothes before you put them on

I tried your layering and vaseline technique today and LET ME TELL YOU IT WORKED MY VS MIST + LOTION (without perfume REPEAT WITHOUT PERFUME) Literally lasted for 8 hours ON GOD 8 HOURS. Lotion (leave damp on skin)
Body Mist/Spray
Let dry
Yup. Simple.
Perfume is for your enjoyment not anybody else so go on and reapply anytime of the day and live your best life.Coconut oil is good to apply befor setting your perfume on your pulse points.Also you can spray your fragrance into a small tea cup half full with water and through that into your iron and iron the clothes that your going to wear to go out were ever it is that your going.

You can apply fragrance oil/ essential oil of your choice or a little laundry detergent too instead of perfume to the ironing water

When spraying white clothes with any coloured body spray, make sure you spray it a few centimetres away, sometimes the colour of the liquid can stain your white clothes.

I have been using this trick for years and ladies yes....it does work! Listen to this woman! She is telling the gospel truth. I've gotten so many compliments on how nice I smell everytime I go out to the store or to my doctor's office. My husband is constantly hugging and kissing all over me telling me how good I smell. Whatever combinations of products you use is fine just do not forget the vaseline or oil first then the lotion and then the perfume. You will not be disappointed!

Using vaseline on your skin before applying perfume is a great idea. I think also it will help to keep your skin from getting irritated applying in the same area over and over.👏🏾💚🙋🏾♀️

Tell me why I’m just now getting into pairing my body care with other fragrances and perfumes? I was always so set into having all one scent that I never thought of mixing. I did know the baseline trick from my grandmother. Great advice

Girl you are on point with your layering technique. just went to victoria secret and picked up a body spray that was on sale. However they didnt have the body cream , but when I got home I sprayed a body spray from bbw with the Vs Spray and OMG! what a beautiful combination. I also have the BBW body cream to match the bbw spary. Now that I know that you can mix and match Im going to start doing this more often. Im no stranger to Layering my body fragrance with a body lotion or cream I just never thought about mixing, because I was always afraid to do that not knowing what kind of concoction I would come up with. Again thank you I will defitnetly be keeping up with your videos.

I love how detailed this tutorial is. It was very easy to watch not too much rambling or taking forever to get to the point. I don’t use body spray because they fade so fast but I’ve always been scared to spray perfume on my skin because of the skin absorbing products which could be harmful. But I like how you talk about creating a barrier to protect your skin. I’m going to try this method.

@surprise4089 I didn't totally dry my body before applying body cream, and I immediately applied Vaseline on those spots she mentioned. Then, I applied the body spray generously onto the Vaseline (without rubbing)😊

I will say this all depends on the perfume you use, I usually use a parfum which is basically a full strength perfume that’s designed to be very fragrant and long lasting so a little goes a long way. I find this routine works really well for my body sprays and eau de toilettes that I use that don’t last long, personally love the sol de Janeiro body spray and always was frustrated when the smell disappeared after an hour and this routine really prolongs it.

@@maraeabroughton it worked fine it did stay longer ....but I do have very oily/dry skin even with baby Vaseline I get pimples & a heat rash. I would recommend it behind the ear it is what I have been doing it

I saw that Vaseline stick as well and was like that’s soo convenient. I’m almost done with my tub I have and I’ll purchase the stick after. This method works great with just perfumes as well 😌👌🏾
