0:00 - 0:20 So much soccer going on! Love it
0:24 My heart fluttered when I saw this so I wanted to make a video about it
0:36 UEFA Nations League has been going on we have been focusing on League A but there is so much going on
0:57 But let's talk about Ireland Playing Northern Ireland
1:13 Comment about Northern Ireland playing Amhrán na bhFiann for the first time in Windsor Park in Belfast
2:11 We don't know too much about the situation. Historically but we thought it was a very cool story
2:47 We read an article about the anthem! Very cool!
3:41 They had not played it for the men's matches but they played it at the WOMAN'S MATCH!! Women bring people together!
4:06 Will The Republic of Ireland play England soon? Haven't for 10 years!
4:48 Ireland is KILLING IT!! 6 game winning streak
5:15 Relegation and promotion talk from the Nations League
5:35 Ireland promoted from B League to A League! VERY COOL!
6:13 Such great chemistry on the pitch!
6:30 Let's talk Ruesha and Katie... Ruesha just got called up for these last two matches cause she was injured before.
7:05 Ruesha and Katie are so great on the pitch! This was the first set of matches that they have been back together!
7:35 Some Katie/Ruesha Tiktoks came up on my FYP and I saw them and It made me want to do a video lol
8:10 Katie got an award. You can see Ruesha react to acknowledge Katie. They were being cool
8:43 Katie and Ruesha in the prematch huddle next to each other!!!!!
9:14 Katie looked at Ruesha sooo cute!! Even Sarah thought it was cute!!
9:42 In a post-match interview Katie name dropped Ruesha. It was sweet to see
10:00 Sarah makes a good point. If they acted any other way it wouldn't work for the team
10:23 They seem to be on good terms again. Maybe not best friends but on good terms
10:33 Katie named dropped Rue again!
10:45 If Ruesha got cheated on then for Rue to come back and be cool, it says good things about Ruesha
11:12 Ruesha is a CATCH! Who's going to be the Lucky lady?! A lot of people are in Ruesha's corner!
11:30 Sarah LOVES Ruesha's legs and bum in her green shorts!
11:50 Ruesha and Katie setting up the free kick together was cute!
12:23 Having a best friend. All those memories. Then they become a stranger. Wild stuff
    12:54 Ireland is killing it!
13:15 They are focused on soccer.
12:25 Hope they can be friends again.

Ruesha mascot for the first game of this camp was also Katie’s nephew & just before camp started Rueshas niece and nephew were on the field after Katie’s game with the Arsenal squad. There’s definitely been some change recently which is great to see. The teammates sharing and commenting Denise’s post showed that they love that things are returning to how it was. That break up would have hurt the team no matter how hard they tried to keep it out of the lockeroom..

Just for historical context, the last men's games were before the Good Friday Agreement (aka the Belfast Agreement) which was formally signed in 1998. That agreement effectively secured peace between the two nations. Prior to that Amhrán na bFiannn would have been somewhat inflammatory to play. (It is pronounced Ow-rawn na V in)

Northern Ireland's official national anthem is 'God Save the King', but there are some variations including at the Commonwealth Games, where 'Londonderry Air' is used as the Northern Irish team's victory anthem.

In many sports like rugby and field hockey, the Irish national team represents both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. To address the national anthem issue in these sports, the Irish Rugby Football Union commissioned a politically neutral anthem titled Ireland’s Call. Ireland rugby matches in the Republic of Ireland do play both A Soldier’s Song and Ireland’s Call, but only the latter in Northern Ireland and outside of the island.

The European teams were split, according to their ranking, into category A (teams ranked 1-16), B (17-32) and C.
The group winners from group A play for places at the Olympic Games.
The second placed group A teams (among them Austria), stay in category A.
The third placed teams in category A (among them Norway and Sweden) groups play 2 legged relegation matches against 2nd placed category B group teams.
The last placed category A (among them Scotland, Portugal and Wales) got relegated to category B.
The category B group winners (among them Ireland) got promoted to category A.
Great to see that Katie and Ruesha can interact well together on the pitch. Ireland absolutely deserved to be promoted to category A.

I'm irish parents came from Tyrone my father was Northern while my mother & her family were catholic Republic of Ireland. How they got together is beyond people but they were married for 70 yrs up until dad died at 93. Irish history isn't really that complicated.

I rely on you girls for relationship news, as you know. I can get who scored, won and advanced from ESPN or similar sites. The really vital stuff, I can't. Let's be clear - I support women's sports because I like women, and sports, in that order. So the lesbo relationships are of top tier importance!
Seriously, I love these features. They are fun, even though this has seemed like a tough breakup. Not sure how Ruesha has remained single this long - she's hilarious and gorgeous.

It’s not a political thing it was that England were in A and Ireland were in B now Ireland gets promoted hence they will now play the UK

  • @andreahamilton6579

The English took over Ireland and treated the Irish people like dirt, taking their lands and treating them like second class citizens. The Irish kept fighting back to get their lands back and restle control of Ireland back from the UK. The war you talk about was the 1916 rising where the Irish Republican Brotherhood fought the English troupes in the streets. The final outcome was the UK passed back the control to Ireland but only for the Republic but the kept the 6 most prosperous counties which formed the North of Ireland.

  • @richard6440

When the mens teams played at Belfast or Dublin, the two national anthems ' should ' have been played. But there was rivalry between northern ireland and the republic, and not just in sports. so it might have been decided on safety grounds not to play the anthems. However, the fans of womens football are not religious or political maniacs. They just like football. So it is safe to play any anthem , at any ground. Blame the men. Its their fault.

3:00 the reason for the national anthems to be played at stadiums is as follows. If the Usa ' National ' team is playing against another ' nation ' then you play ' both ' National anthems before the game. Regardless of ' where ' it is being played. Outside of the Usa , we do not play ' national ' anthems at club games. Say Miami dolphins v tampa bay buccs. Thats a club game, not a national game. You Americans are weird :)
