    "Women get paid less than men." WRONG! Women EARN less money than men. Men EARN more money because they work MORE HOURS at the same PAY as women in the same field. Paying them a different pay-rate would be illegal. So, men and women getting PAID $10 per hour are paid the same. However, if a man works 100 hours, while the woman works 77 hours...it means the woman will EARN 77% of what the man EARNED. The same can be said about men working 60 hours, while women work only about 46 hours at the same job...the women are going to EARN 77% of what the men earned. That's where that "misinformation/disinformation" which all feminists believe comes from. What women and feminists ACTUALLY want is to work LESS than men, while doing the same job...but, they want to make (not earn) the same amount of money as the men that work 33% MORE HOURS than the women.

    • @kristenkidd3982
      @kristenkidd3982 Год назад +16

      This is a fantastic way to quickly explain the supposed "pay gap".. they dont get paid less, they *earn* less.
      I got in a mini argument with someone i know, his heart is in the right place but he just watches cnn all day and takes what they say as law. He said "its unfair that a woman gets paid less per hour than a man doing the same job with the same experience."
      I said that would be illegal and went on to explain that men typically take the hard labor jobs and women typically take the physically easy job, each of which pay accordingly. So on average, men do earn more. He understood but i think up until that point he honestly thought that women just got $2/hr deducted from our pay for being women.

    • @BrockLee3
      @BrockLee3 Год назад +9

      @@kristenkidd3982 CORRECT! If companies can save money by hiring women and paying them less than men...then, NO MEN would ever get hired.
      I'm 42 years old...and, I've met PLENTY of women in my life. But, I've met only ONE woman that's actually done physically intensive labor. She dug ditches and she alone moved metric-TONS of dirt every day all by herself with a shovel and a wheelbarrow. She actually EARNED more money than every guy there whom did the same job. She earned more because she had YEARS of experience with that company; while most people would end up quiting after a few months (MUCH RESPECT to her). The feminists seem to forget how working the same job will cause you to gain these things called "raises" every year. Then, they complain when a male doctor that's worked the same job for 10 years gets paid more than a female doctor that just joined the same hospital. They seem to ignore SEVERAL factors/reasons why men would EARN more money than their female co-workers. Instead, they would rather play the victim-card over and over again without as much as asking any real questions.

    • @mr.e3123
      @mr.e3123 Год назад +4

      they also arent factoring in that women by and large are not boat rockers. they take the money they are given and do not ask for more. This can cause money deficits via illegal wage laundering, and even just missed out opportunities for raises.

    • @Zaphod-ef9yz
      @Zaphod-ef9yz Год назад +6

      Another crucial point is the way "gender pay gaps" are actually calculated.
      Male staff x salary
      Women x Salary
      Which is the bigger total?
      So, and VERY often you can have an example like this.
      Warehouse company:
      x 50 men on minimum wage packing boxes and 10 women on much more working in the a/c office above them and "on average" this company pays men more - simply because there is more men, it's an expenditure total, not their actual take home at all! Plus in these environments then men will also be working overtime for more money to survive whilst the women upstairs don't.
      Notice how you will NEVER see gender pay gap reports for primary schools, nurseries etc where the majority of staff are women. This is because it won't fit with the narrative.

      This is such a red herring of a discussion. Plays right into the hands of those seeking to gain from economic exploitation because while everyone is arguing about why men earn more than women or whether physically demanding jobs men are more naturally suited to should be paid more or less than emotionally demanding jobs women are more naturally suited to, it’s distracting from the actual conversation we should be having and unifying our efforts around about identifying the areas in our current system where things are set up in a way that provide oversized financial rewards to people disproportionately compared to the skills, talent, risk, effort, and societal benefits they make. Yes entrepreneurs should be rewarded for risks, yes people with skills that are rare and in high demand should be rewarded, yes people who only want to work 10 hours a week in low skill low demand jobs should expect less, but once those fundamentals are in place, why are we arguing over the gender gap when in 2023 50 families in the UK hold more wealth than more than half the population, 33.5 million people, combined? Why has there been no change in approach economically when after 50 years of being told ‘greed is good’, ‘profit is not a dirty word’, and labour even saying they’re ‘extremely relaxed about the ‘filthy rich’, trickle-down economics hasn’t been the economic progress it promised and instead has just made the rich richer and the poor poorer. I’m more bothered about THAT then whether a male roofer is getting 2 grand a year more than a female nurse…

    Its a myth that women do unpaid labour in the home, as somebody is paying them, whether that be via state benefits, or being kept by their partners to run the home.
    It is also a myth that women get paid less than men for the same job, in terms of hourly rates, as to do so, would be ILLEGAL!
    And some women, often forget the sacrifices men make to keep women safe, such as fight in combat, which is overwhelmingly dominated by men. And some women forget that men build them houses, shopping malls, cars, and do most of the hard dirty graft.
    Women have NEVER BEEN so cosseted.
    Name me one job that a woman traditionally does, that a man cannot do, except conceive children? Then reverse the question, and name jobs that men do, which would make MOST women recoil in fear, disgust, or complete ambivolence?

    Get a trowel in your hand and have a go, and we’re not on great money as the building companies make a fortune out of the houses we build. We get a fraction of the profit despite doing the hard graft involved.

    Feminism is not about rights of women. Feminism is about equal rights and opportunities for everyone. I remember having this discussion with my husband when he thought feminism was about women’s rights. He didn’t believe me when I informed him it’s about equal rights and opportunities for all. He changed his mind once I did research and showed him proof. Feminism was never about dividing people it’s about seeing the worth of all people.

    Unpaid work in the home??? If you are a stay at home mom/dad, that is payment in itself. You are blessed with GETTING to stay home. Not trucking in a commute everyday, not having to go out in extreme weather, no daily gas cost stress, actually being close to your kids. People easily forget how good they actually have it.

    Funny, how doing normal, average everyday things always becomes "struggles", "emotionally challenging" and "fighting", whenever a feminist's definition of "equality" is questioned. Any inkling of the 'strong and empowered' BS goes out the window in two seconds flat, and all there's left is a victim of everything.
