This maps Easter egg is definitely harder than Rave but it gives you more to work for and more of a challenge and that's why this maps already getting good feedback
I just played and beat the EE in Shaolin Shuffle, and I will agree with you. This EE is challenging, but fun to do, and I really liked the aesthetics and setting of the map. Imo I wished the NYC map was a Treyarch map (SoE is actually a fictional Chicago map), but I still enjoyed the map very much.
The one thing I hate about this map are the ninjas. They'll just teleport right in front of you, block you, and then your train will down you in milliseconds. That's the only hard part about this map really. In terms of Easter Egg, it's not really hard as it is time consuming, especially playing solo. Playing coop is highly recommended. A few tips for people attempting it solo and just a few tips that work coop as well: 1) When translating Morse Code, find all the posters and write all the numbers down with their translations and areas. I found 6. Once you have them all, then go to the telephone and get the Morse Code. 2) When translating the Morse Code, remember the simple method of the Morse Code numbers (long beeps are - and short beeps are .) All the numbers (0-9) contain 5 total beeps. Numbers 0-5 are based on short beeps (.) overtaking long beeps (-) with 0 being the standard of (- - - - -). 1 then replaced the first (-) with a (.) so (. - - - -). 2 replaces the second (-) so (. . - - -) and so on with the eventual outcome being 5 as (. . . . .). Numbers 6-9 are a bit of a reversal with (-) overtaking (.). 6 is (- . . . .). 7 is (- - . . .) and so on until 9 becomes (- - - - .). Surprisingly simple. From the 6 posters I had, I had one that started with 5, two with 4, one with 7, one with 2, and one with 8. When hearing the code, I heard a long beep so the number sets starting with 2, 4, and 5 were all ruled out leaving me with 7 and 8. I then heard three long beeps (- - -) which rules out 7 since 7 is (- - . . .) leaving me with the only option which was 8 which is (- - - . .). 3) When collecting souls in the 5 soul collectors, I would round up my zombies in the sewer. Once they all spawned in, I would then lead them to the soul collectors. Make sure to not get too far ahead because the Zombies in IW despawn extremely quickly and will spawn again in front of you. Gas grenades were extremely useful (when aren't they?) when zombies would start spawning immediately behind me while in the soul collectors allowing me to throw them down and escape. 4) When doing the hot potato step, I recommend going through a round and kill off all the zombies till around 10-15 remain with no other zombies spawning in. I found that the disco ball moved around about 10 times in Dalek's clip (assuming it wasn't edited). Allowing me to narrow the train down to 10 or so, going in, and easily completing it without the worry of getting completely overrun.
Got to the boss with a good random and one other. Thank you so much for the guide, although there may be other guides I'm sure a lot of us appreciate the time and effort as well as the enthusiasm for all things zombies that you contain.
i know im late, but the rat king IS filled with rats, he is pretty much a husk full of rats. the zombies in shaolin shuffle also have rats inside their bodies (not nearly as much as the rat king has), you can see that ehen you use the heart on them.
The only part I don't like about this map is the jumpscare 'lost footage' scene. Find it completely unnecessary, and even at 20 years old it nearly gives me a heart attack every time despite knowing it's coming.
Here’s something you can do to make it easier, 1:get crane style to max (IT HAS TO BE CRANE STYLE) 1.5:get boom box 2:go to a glowing gourd that you can get your chi from 3:hold x , press left right left on your d-pad,then hold x and press left right left 4:you should be in your karate mode. now, press your lb and rb buttons to do the crane kick. 5: if done correctly you should have a invisible green barrier that insta-kills zombies near you
Correction: Pam will not always revive you. I was playing solo and was near the end, I died, but was revived by Pam, then died again, and Pam did not revive me.

Can confirm that you do NOT have to be on the dance floor the whole time for the disco ball step. You just have to make sure there's another "normal" zombie (not samurai or skater) on the dance floor when you kill the current dancing one. Sheesh I died 4 times on co op trying to do it the way in the tutorial. Also (not confirmed) I think the number of zombie kills required is cumulative, not consecutive, so if you fail you can just wait for the next dancing zombie to spawn and continue to kill them
Hey man great video. On a note of the Rat king symbols I know it's going to sound weird but I've found that after I've found one and shot at it no matter how many times I check one they don't pop up when using the scan. I've found that going and picking up a phone and then going to scan will usually have another pop up this comment is for everyone if anyone else is having that problem it's the only way I find all six as I said Shoot one, go pick up any phone , and then go about scanning again. I got a stupid glitch I was playing split screen and when ever I spawned the mini ratking boss my screen would glitch out and go all kinds of bright colours we managed to kill him the first time with luck but we died the second time !!! This map is so glitchy and we spent so much time on it
This EE feels like a proper Easter egg, with proper steps and indication of progression, one you could replay just for fun instead of just completing it once.

Actually had it with this easter egg now. I beat it this morning, flawless run pretty much, but there was no soul key drop after the boss fight, no pick ups anywhere. I got the achievement for completing the easter egg but didn't even get to enjoy the katana I'd just work 3 hours for! I've done 4 more attempts since then but now i'm just stuck in the boss fight with no ammo, no perks, no chi. Meaning i've wasted 8 hours of my life trying to solve this today (again...). Dev's need to make boss fight a bit more fair, regular max ammo drops, or at least unlimited chi so i can at least try something. I miss the days where you could solo easter eggs with relative ease and now it's 2/3 hours of hard work to not get any help in the boss fight. Infinity Ward, please fix this. There's a lot of people who want to do easter eggs solo because multiplayer is too difficult or its just a preference thing and we just get forgot about?

Anyone else notice the motion blur? You should turn that off. Once you see it you can't unsee it and it gets really irritating. Good content tho. Really helpful.
At first glance this EE seems overly complicated but after a few runs, it actually is pretty simple. The only part I CANNOT beat for the life of me is the Heart in the final battle. Its like next to IMPOSSIBLE! Even when I complete the skull buster first and then try the EE, I always die on the Heart. I need advice. Maybe a certain strategy or a F&F card I should use..? (splitscreen co-op)
Words of the Wise: My strategy for this map is to use the Skull Buster Machine, as it basically puts your game in directors cut, giving PAP'D weapons from the wheel, and gives you all the perks permanently

This map's easter egg is awesome and it is also complex. It really tests your patience and you really need to work hard to beat it.

At first glance this EE seems overly complicated but after a few runs, it actually is pretty simple. The only part I CANNOT beat for the life of me is the Heart in the final battle. Its like next to IMPOSSIBLE! Even when I complete the skull buster first and then try the EE, I always die on the Heart. I need advice. Maybe a certain strategy or a F&F card I should use..? (splitscreen co-op)

Words of the Wise: My strategy for this map is to use the Skull Buster Machine, as it basically puts your game in directors cut, giving PAP'D weapons from the wheel, and gives you all the perks permanently
