Honestly I've voted for your cover and saw you're at 52% at the moment. It is absolutely amazing how you created such a realistic gold look, with the logo sleeve, what I absolutely not expected to slide off. I think that digital was the right choice. It's so clean! I think the paint texture and strokes would have taken away the clean airbrush look that I fell in love with It would been 100% a collector item back then, that I would have purchased without being a prince fan. Thank you so much for such an amazing design

This is just to awesome my dude! You really made a godlike album cover! One question though - where did your reference picture come from? Did I miss you rendering something beforehand? I do believe you made that yourself, but it suddenly popped up halfway through your painting, so I was confused.
@@linusaltmann2657 no you didn’t miss anything. I didn’t include that process in the video because it was already a really long video. The reference was created by compositing a lot of images and photoshopping them.

I noticed when you are painting it by hand you are referencing a completed version. How are you referencing a completed version when you have not created it yet? Or is the completed version you are referencing just a rendering?

@stemandthorn Prince was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, so I think it's safe to assume that his body of work qualified for the challenge, even though his music spanned multiple genres. It's hard to put his work into one specific genre.🔥 Btw, you did a great job on the album cover. 💜
