Fat flattened rice half kg
Green chillies 6 to 7
Ground nuts 1 cup
Curry leaves handful
Mustard for seasoning
Chopped onions 2 to 3tomatoes 2
Lemon half
Gram flour 1 bowl
Salt to taste

I had tested the Avalakki Vaggarani in North Karnataka and wondered if any hotel in South Karnataka can ever give a taste equivalent to it.
And to my pleasant surprise Sri Krishna Udupa called me to show his Avalkki Bath which is the cousin of Avalkki Vaggarani of NK.
Sri Krishna Udupa gave his best while showcasing the unique flagship dish of Gayatri tiffin room, the AVALAKKI BATH, with so much perfection that it looked just out of a text book.
The way it is prepared is to be seen to believe.

This recipe has been made in our family for more than 100 yrs , naavu edina vagarne awaliki antha kari thi vi , usually made for breakfast , we don't add the powder instead fresh coconut thuri , onions is optional , lots kothambri sapu wiith green chilles while frying including ingu , the best break-fast ever , simple , healthy & filling .
I tried this recipe . It's really nice. The tip given about when to put tumeric that makes the difference. Thank you sir.

Gurugale Avalakki bath n vaggaraneghe difference is only hurugadle pudi.. Rest all same. Dhanyavad. Badarinath. Mysore.
