- From the archives of Seattle Paragliding, a young Penny Legate from Evening Magazine learns to fly a paraglider with Marc Chirico and Jeff Splitgerber in Levenworth, WA, Fall 1988. This media piece launched paragliding in the Pacific NW.

I love the fact at the end she has the helmet on backwards. Still she had a great time and conquered her fear. Paragliders are wonderful and as safe as you want. What a wonderful sport. Thanks for the clip.

Actually...isn’t it kind of bizarre that it’s on backwards? When did that happen? Likely an early fake news clip is what we just saw. That chic didn’t go 2K above ground. They dressed her up again at the bottom of the hill.

I started in 1987 with paragliding. I also owned an ITV. Nice to see the beginning once more.
