When you're up against a struggle that shatters all your dreams....in 1982 I was doing my student teaching and felt like a failure, so much so that I was going to walk away from the dream I had since I was in 2nd grade. Every day that term I would come home and sing this song, over and over. He does inhabit our praise. Those lyrics helped me get through a devastating time in my life. But, God is faithful and He smashed the lies of the evil one. I am a special ed teacher today and can't imagine doing anything else. Thank you to Russ Taff for letting God speak through him in the powerful music he has sung over the years. God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and always faithful!

GOD made a way when there was no way. I felt like an Israelite leaving Egypt when HE answered our prayers. This song taught me to praise GOD during the most painful, and fearful situations. HE paved the way with a lot of blessings during the process. He still keeps blessing us! Amen!!! It's because of who HE is!
I am broken to the lowest point to where I ended up in hospitalnthe depths of depression. I have rediscovered Russ Taffs music along with this song the song " I cry" has brought me into the presence of God with celebration Jesus welcomed me home as his prodigal daughter yet again. I love Jesus

My mother passed away last October, and she loved this song. She was in her local church choir for many years and sang on several albums, traveling around the world as part of a missionary family. She's now singing in that heavenly choir and sitting at the feet of Jesus...never again will she be sick, tired, weak, or sad. This was one of her favorites! Thank you Russ, and thank you Lord for inspiring songwriters to write lyrics and music like this that bring glory to Your name!

In the middle of a horrible pandemic, when I'm scared for my family, I PRAISE THE LORD!!! In the end, everything is temporary and I have an eternal home in heaven by faith thru the grace of my precious savior, Jesus, king of kings. God is still in control!

This plandemic is satans work, the world belongs to satan after all. In the bible, that's why he offered the world to Jesus. You can only offer what you already possess.
We know that his demons work hard in people who let them in. Manipulation, corruption, lies, robbery, drugs, all are futile attempts of satan to bring us away from God.
But Jesus will win. So stay strong in your faith and focus on what is good and right. Nothing good comes from letting yourself be mentally imprisoned by satans desperation. Let him get all crazy, trying to destroy the world, the harder he tries, the more it's evident that he is losing.

I was on the tractor yesterday April 30th 2020 heavily oppressed listening to Ministry but had such a heavy heavy wait oppression this song came to mind I started singing this song out loud while on the tractor while bush hogging the shackles of Oppression the weight of Darkness lifted I started praising the Lord with my mouth out loud encouraging myself in the Lord with Holy Scripture with songs with praise and I had one heck of a glorious day liberated from the chains oppression depression darkness and despair.

I was only 15 but the seeds that were planted were MIGHTY!!!! I got saved five years later!!! I went on to be a songbird for Jesus too!!! I would love to sing with Russ!!!
A timeless message this song is. Russ is not the only one who ever was up against a struggle. I preached a message this last Thursday afternoon and as I was speaking, the Holy Spirit reminded me that just like the children of Israel coming out of Egypt, we came out of bondage, entered the wilderness which is this life and we are headed for the promise land, "Heaven". They were headed for Canaan land. In this life we will have tribulation. Peter tells us not to be surprised when we face it. Remember just praise the Lord. Keep your eyes on Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. He won't fail you. He is not surprised when things happen to you. Continue on, keep the faith and stand for Jesus. In the end, you will shine in glory with Him. Praise the Lord.

This is my life song. I started praising God in the darkest times of my life. A few months later God parted the Red Sea again and made a way when there was no possible way. My mom and my siblings was trapped in a violent, crazy, abusive home. It was terrifying! Then I found the Lord. I was HIS child. If you're a believer know that you are a child of THE MOST HIGH GOD!! For precious are we in HIS site. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not!! It doesn't matter what people may say or do!!

I want to say that you for this video. On November 5, 2017 my 2 year old grandson was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
I felt such fear and anguish, his parents were terrified. It was so scary..I could hardly breathe...and I found this video.

Titus still has diabetes, but he has been a huge blessing in this family.

I’ve listened to Russ since the mid 80’s. God has blessed him greatly with a voice for the Lord and a powerful testimony. He loves and believes passionately what he sings.
When you think you've come to the end of your life, if you haven't believed you will experience hell in the process of dying. I have believed in Jesus Christ since I was 10 years old. I came to what was a near death experience and everything I had believed was confirmed because I experience the assurance and love of Christ.

Back in the 1970's, as a teenager, newly saved, the song "Praise the Lord" helped me hold on during times of persecution from so-called friends and family.
My favorite song back in the late 70's after l got saved. I still LOVE THAT SONG!

If one has ever thought the world has all the talent, look no further than Russ Taff. This man can belt our lyrics like none other, 40 years after he became well known. Glory to GOD!
I don't know why but I have been playing this song day and night for weeks now. We experienced a power cut for a week, and even when the power came back I picked up the CD and went straight to that song, so I am sharing it today. Whatever Russ does I love him dearly. He is one of those anointed singers that sings from the heart and brings you in to join him in praising God. I mean I can't say enough about this man. He is just one of a kind. This is my all time favorite praise song. I can depend on this song to help me through difficult times. When the way seems impossible and I don't feel like I can get a prayer through. This song reminds me that my breakthrough is in my praise. When I hear the song, the chains that bind me, actually drop powerless behind me. I can again feel the presence of God. Satan is indeed a liar. I am thankful for that reminder that there is victory in praise.

When I prayed for Christians God wanted me to pray for them to have wealth and steadfastness. I hope you always have peace, joy, love and hope.
This song has such incredible meaning to me. My father was diagnosed about 1 and a half years ago with pancreatic cancer and he was given roughly 2 months to live. He fought for 17 months before he went home to heaven. This was his anthem throughout that fight. Despite the pain and weakness he always praised God.

One of the most difficult songs to sing as far as the range required to sing it, but absolutely one of the most powerful songs recorded in the last 40 years!
This is the type of anointing Christian music is missing now days, now days it's about flashing lights, about how loud the music, how high you can jump , and to show your dance moves.. we need to return to Holy Spirit anointed praises to the father, that's us close the him. Amen!

What a song, you may not realize but this is one of the 2 or 3 most anointed songs of our time. "Praise the Lord he will work through those that praise Him", chains fall off, walls are destroyed, minds made clear, joy and peace restored, liberty not that provided by a government or creed. Paul the apostle said I wish you were all as I except for these chains. He was in prison... yet in a prison made the hands of man NO ONE COULD imprison him. An old song said years ago when you know the Lord you don't need nobody else... Jesus IS the answer.. Now the question is will YOU embrace life and freedom. He will do what he said He said he would do.

YOU SAW them living with the guilt of committing crimes to the heart. YOU SAW them enduring personal crisis. YOU SAW the weight of the burden on their hearts with each tribulation. YOU SAW them seeking comfort from the above mentioned topography, ONE OF THE MANY MARVELS YOUR PERFECT HANDS HAVE MADE. 👏👏👏 YOU SAW their worries about tomorrow.
If their hearts were a window that they could look through, oh the pains and scars they would see. What a cruel fate the skin gives as a mask to the inward pain. But the skin couldn’t cover THE SUFFERING YOUR ONE AND ONLY SON BORED on the cross as PAYMENT for all our sins because HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ALONE HAD THE MERIT TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR HOLINESS. Indeed, ONLY HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IS SUFFICIENT TO SAVE us from this present evil world as evidenced by Mary's song of praise. "And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." (Luke 1:46-47 KJV) Awesome thanks to YOUR GREAT PARDON for being easy on the heart. 🥰
They have seen a lot of crazy things done in YOUR NAME. For example, the father of lies futile attempts to make crooked the right ways of the LORD to turn people away from faith in the WORKS OF JESUS CHRIST ALONE. How can anyone bear the thought of his or her life story detracting from the GLORY AND HONOR KNOWN TO BELONG TO CHRIST ALONE? As a consequence, YOU ARE A MYSTERY OF GREAT MYSTERY to them. Despite this conviction, YOU ARE MINDFUL of them as evidenced by the fact that YOUR JUDGEMENT is not speedy, allowing them to pursue the desires of the flesh.
They are aware of hypocrisy in religious assemblies that like to be seen and heard. In addition, secular education teaches that there is no right and wrong, if GOD exists there is no way of relating to HIM, and moral standards shift according to the whims of fashion. Therefore, their minds are conditioned to question everything this world has to offer including “THY POWER THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE DISPLAYED.” They have accepted the heavy burden of dealing with the troubles of this life and seeks to know another way, YOU THE GREAT COMFORTER TO ALL who did receive YOU as their personal SAVIOR. Still, YOU have shown them NEW MERCY every day with each thought they make and each breath they take.
Unfortunately, like the prodigal son, we are all guilty of wandering far from YOU LORD because the negative experiences of our lives tend to build roadblocks to the TRUTH. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them to identify the way, truth, and eternal life (that is YOU). Since to know and follow your SPIRIT is more exciting than any 007 movie, and YOU DELIGHT MAKING the ordinary into extraordinary. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST MAKE them understand that there is no way around YOUR TRUTH, and that there is something about YOUR NAME. As time marches on, JESUS CHRIST HELP them defeat in their minds what is false in YOUR EYES.
LORD GUIDE their thoughts to know that the path of sin is hard on their hearts for the purpose of crying out to YOU to know the joy, peace of having the heavy burden LIFTED by THE GOD OF PEACE I AM, and ANCHOR their souls in THE HAVEN OF REST. In other words, LORD use the storms in their lives to get a hold of them to trust YOU and believe. In truth, YOU ARE THE JOY that seekest them through pain.
LORD HELP their fainting hearts to believe that YOU, who was slain on the cross over 2000 years ago has the POWER TO CHANGE lives today through the INSTANTANEOUS GREAT FAVOR from GOD to the house of Israel made known in believers by YOU to make YOUR NAME EVERLASTING. 🥰 For as the statue liberates the citizens so the cross liberates the soul. ONLY YOU can calm the trouble waters of the mind when one admits to wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, JESUS IS LORD, and believes in the heart that GOD RAISED HIM from the dead TO LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt away from the heart in accordance to YOUR WORD found in Psalm 51:1-10 KJV. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 O, the wonder of it all to experience within the flesh the feeling of a tree being cut back/pruned inorder for it to grow stronger and more beautiful after meditating on the words of said Psalm. 🥰🙌
LORD MAKE them know that ONLY YOUR HOLY SPIRIT, through the experience of a new birth within believers, can prevent the family circle from being broken because THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE YOU HAVE GRANTED means a chapter of their lives is decided. Creation sings the rebirth song for them yearly, through YOUR PROMISE of springtime, giving rise to the idea that by the mention of YOUR NAME flowers grow, and the desert blooms again. 🥰
LORD GUIDE their understanding of words to use to come into YOUR PRESENCE with an honest reverence of WHO YOU ARE to experience the beauty that time can't erase YOUR WISDOM resting on their faces. LORD STRENGTHEN their determination to never waiver in efforts to search for YOU because the wages of sin is too high for anyone to pay. Additionally, THE KING OF KINGS is needed in their hearts to learn how to expand their capacity to love for YOU are LOVE in any language. 🥰 Once they learn to speak it with boldness through YOUR WONDERFUL COUNSELING all the world will hear, and know that LOVE is the language of their hearts. So LORD, KEEP KNOCKING on their doors until they let YOU in to know hardships and struggles will end with a GREAT CELEBRATION WITH YOU. 🥰🙌
If one believes faith cannot be forced, YOU WILL GIVE that individual over to the stubborn heart to follow own counsel which will surely fail him or her to the extent that the punishment will last forever found in Psalms 81 NIV. Given this, I pray that YOU WILL MAKE that person see that this feeling is wasted for a world in which we become strangers as we age, gives us thrills instead of peace, aims to solve a problem but creates another, and unrest surges with each passing generation. Shed some light into their broken hearts for YOU ARE THE GREAT JEHOVAH, THE GOD THAT HEALETH thee.
Lastly, LORD when they call on YOU in earnest prayer to come into their hearts to be born again, I pray that YOU WILL GIVE them the blessed assurance of their salvation because nothing breaks YOUR HEART, or tears YOU apart like when they cry from the trials of the devil who comes to slander, falsely accuse, steal, kill & destroy. Only by drawing nearer to YOU LORD will put them on a path to a glorious one way trip winding upward to YOU where pain is not welcome because the heart will never break anymore. For ONLY YOU UNDERSTANDS our tears since YOU LOOK at the heart, while humans look at the flesh.
O LOVE that will not let them go. When they don't have the strength to try, and have cried all they can cry hear their hearts that need YOU more today than yesterday. Many thanks LORD for speaking TRUTH in our lives TO BLESS those who are not offended by THEE. LET YOUR WILL BE DONE because YOUR LOVE ALONE CONQUERS everything by WAITING for them to cease struggling, and finally surrender to YOUR EMBRACE to learn about YOUR LOVE AND PROMISE TO TAKE CARE of your children exquisitely. 🥰 Since... "at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore"... (Psalms 16:11 KJV), and the nail print for them to know YOU by answering the following question. But did u know that the Bible says God is rich in mercy? Do you know what God did for guilty sinners like us so we wouldn’t have to go to Hell? God became a man, Jesus of Nazareth and lived a perfect life that you and I could never live. And suffered and died on a cross taking the punishment for our sin. Rose from the dead defeating your worst fear…death itself. You may know that but u probably don’t know this…The 10 Commandments are called the moral law, you and I broke God’s law and Jesus paid the fine. That’s what happened on the cross. His last words on the cross were “It Is Finished” meaning the debt for your sin has been paid. If you’re in court with a stack of tickets about to go to jail but someone comes in and pays your fine the judge can legally let you go and still be just. Sin must be payed for. You know what you need? You need God’s mercy. To throw yourself on the mercy of the court so to speak.
What you need to do is repent and put your trust in Jesus Christ. The moment you do that God promises to blot out every sin you’ve ever done and grant you Eternal Life. He’ll give you a new heart with new desires. I’m not telling you to join a specific church,I don’t want your money. I just care about where you’re going on that inevitable day when death closes your eyes. I hope you can see that. 🙂
