If I don't see the platoons of justice video for the double barrel soviet TD just because it is low tier, I am gonna cry. That tank is the biggest meme tank ever.

Also, this tank has 41mm of turret and gun roof armour because "F YOU, YOU DON'T GET TO OVERMATCH WITH A 122mm GUN, THAT'D GIVE THE NEW PREM TANK A WEAKPOINT!!11!!".
It had 29mm on the part over the gun breach in the first iteration, but they increased it to the 41mm it is now in the second test.
They originally had the right idea going for it, but then they just ruined it and made it an indestructible hulldown beast which is awful to fight against.

You forgot this thing had a nasty 1100 alpha HE shell that was removed and replaced by a completely useless AP round. This happened between the 1.19 test (I was there in the supertest) and the 1.19 launch. This tank is simply disgusting. It's the upgraded version of the O-ho but way more penetration, mobility and armor.
@@juanjosedelpinorivas7099 honestly, that 1100 alpha HE shell wasn't much more useful since it only had 75mm of pen, at least the AP can pen some things that the current HE shell can't.
@@thegiantpotato3068 I guess the current AP was supposed to be HE with low pen and high alpha, kind of like the Type 4 and Type 5 now. Nevertheless, it's totally pay to win because 208 AP and 650 alpha vs 225 pen and 800 alpha. It's not at the level of the golden era of the Type 5 Heavy but still it's going to demolish low tiers and there are many tanks out there that are going to be penetrated by those shells, like Char Futures, Leopards, TVPs, light tanks...7200 credits is a pretty high price for those shells.
The word “Sha-Bao” is the abbreviation of “Sha Shang-Gao Bao”, which translate to “Kill (soft target)-High Explosive. Which makes this shell ridiculous.
Imagine 225mm Penetration for soft target 😅
and even if you don't penetrate, you still get some damage.. it's insane

@@OliverFlinn l can tell you that Cantonese is just a kind of dialect. But the prononciation is totally different.
To be honest, they are not hard to learn if you like kanji but it is hard to find a good teacher since the textbook made by chinese is shit
So in short, it's a meta AF tier 8 KV-2 that also has a tier 10.4 turret and a tier 9.7 hull that can also use rockets to boost and ram kill, mmm mmm mmm, yummy, just what tier 8 needs. :/
I remember when I first saw the stats for this tank in the supertest, and the very first thing I thought was that this is gonna be epic for the platoons of justice.

Between the 1.19 test and 1.19, WG removed the 1100 damage HE round and last second swapped it for an AP round and kept the HESH esk round lol

FYI: After playing this for a bit. Don't go full HESH or 1 AP like in the video. Have at least 10 AP atm. As that AP on that caliber can overmatch the roof, or the gun plate poking up if you see one hull down vs doing 130 damage to it.
This tank caught me off guard with 900 damage on my last game in SU-130PM. Really fair and balanced WG.🤐
I once hit a SU-130PM for 1100 with the HE on the Obj.704. A hilarious and seriously unlucky experience (for him) ;)
Its like an Isu-152. But with Tier 10 heavy armour, good mobilty and a turret. And a little les pen.

Once upon a time the Patriot was considered too OP to be a premium now it seems like all the new tier 8 premiums do tier 10 damage per shot. Power creep has gone insane.
I come from the era of the Lowe and the Mutant...you would be surprised by how much the game has changed since 2012 until now. The rampancy of tier 8 premium tanks being completely superior to the tech tree counterparts is just impossible. Yesterday I had many games where there were at least 12 premium tanks per team. Tier 9 was the only safe haven and premium tanks are steadily infesting that tier too. It's very sad.

6:40 The AP definitely are not completely useless, using a 160mm gun for overmatching cannot be ignored (think 60TP turret roof). 20HE/10AP is my loadout, and it works great.

@Jeremiah Zaitz Gaming how exactly? I've been playing for 10 years on NA. I'd be down for a server merge.
@@MrZerk815 Honestly I don't have the answer to that. Servers are combined on the test servers if I remember correctly. I came back to the game a few days ago and I see NA sitting below the normal 15K players, which leads me to believe that NA's time has finally arrived.
It would reduce my lag if they put the servers in the EU so I'm down
@jeremiahzaitzgaming3284 I wouldn't say one server is more dedicated than the other, although I could see it. I just believe NA doesn't have enough people, less people = less certainty that the game will stick around. Which in its own way leads to people asking, "is it worth dedicating time and energy towards"?

Fun fact, ap can overmatch that barrel part that sticks out when you use gun depression. So ap is useful when u fight another bz
The AP rounds are v useful for overmatching plates, including the roof of a bz176 itself
Yep! We didn't know about that during the recording!
A very interesting perk about this gun: It can overmatch lots of roofs of many tanks because it's a 160mm gun so it can overmatch until 53mm as well as many lateral plates of many tanks trying to sidescrappe. The Skoda T56 has 52mm in the roof, so the HE round will go in. I think the IS-3A has 50 on the roof so yeah, if someone decides to foolishly facehug you, just aim at the roof and punish their insolence.
HE doesn't overmatch though, only AP and APCR, which is why you pack at least a few AP shells.

I recommend loading about 6-7 AP rounds in case you meet other BZ’s on the battlefields as you can overmatch their roofs
One thing that make this tank realy op is his 225 pen on the HE . Since HE doesn't lose pen over distance that mean this value stay the same exepet when it go trough object , add this a good armor and the boost système.... yeah if its not solide i don't know what this is

These AP rounds are perfect if you meet another balanced tanked in hulldown position. Then you load AP and balance the turret roof with auto-pen.

For another month after this tank's release, I will stick to playing tier 7 down. I did the same when the italian tds came out. Nice of wg to put tanks in the game that are so op that casual and bad players like myself cannot even play their favorite tanks because they are powerless against the prem tank.

I think we need SirFoch to come back and tell WG how f'ed up this tank is. The defender is just another normale premium compared to todays standards. I was prepared to buy lootboxes, but keeping my wallet closed this year. This also combined With the shitshow that is the overcomplicated holiday ops, forcing players to grind even more stuff and new currency, like there isn't enough of that throughout the year🤯
