This is probably the closest that we'll get to seeing what bare knuckle boxing looked like in the 1800's under the London Prize ring rules. I've read scans of old boxing instructionals from the 1800's and you can see that these guys are trying to replicate this. Not all that well but they were trying their best.The guy in the dark jacket looks to be trying to stick and move and pop the other guy with the straight left and from what I can tell it also appears to be thrown with the vertical fist which was how the old bare knuckle boxers preferred.
I also found it interesting and amusing how everyone else ignores these two guys brawling in the middle of the street and just keep walking and barely seem to pay any attention to them.
