As a fellow commentator has suggested, George Burns wrote about Gracie Allen, their marriage, their career(s). One such is the one I am presently reading, GRACIE: A LOVE STORY. It is v informative & entertaining reading! It makes you love Gracie almost as much as he does. I say “does” because he says in it he still loves her, years after her premature death caused by heart disease. Boy, are these two a once in a lifetime act!
there are a few excellent books on amazon that was written about them - a few by George. Great reading!!! even covers Hollywood from vaudeville through to the movies... marvelous reading
I've read them all, starting as a kid in the '80s. George, Gracie, and Jack have always been my heroes since 1981. I was lucky to have a dad who was fairly old when I was born. He passed all this down to me at an early age, and I knew even then that it was special, and that no one else my age knew about these things. On the other hand, I got along very well with my teachers and other elders, especially at church, all of whom knew of my interest. I had such a good childhood in relation to my elders. Other parts, I had a very hard time. But the former surely helped me through.
Spam the Improved version of that ol Pennsylvania favorite; scrapple !😝😠 tastes so bad it'll make you mad, mmmmmaaaddd mmmmmmaaaaddd mmmaaaddd... muwahahaha...
Geez, Gracie bought 10 cents' worth of gasoline to clean her white dress. This common "home dry-cleaning" method caused so much injury, death, and property damage, that there was a PSA campaign warning people about it.
With George admitting to have committed Adultery at least once, I do NOT believe that Gracie felt that their marriage was “ a fairy tale romance and marriage”. Besides, fairy tales are made up stories, they are UNREAL. When your husband CHOOSES to commit Adultery, your trust in him has died, forever. By the way, when a wife CHOOSES to commit Adultery, the husband’s trust in her has died forever ALSO. Adultery and so-called “fairy tales” do NOT go together. Hurt, pain, distrust, suspicions, these DO go together with Adultery.
@@listeningeyes9990 I do know about a cheating husband. I had one. As soon as I found out ge had a woman and that she was pregnant with his kid. I threw him out. I have been divorced 33 years from him now. Best decision I ever made.
