Great parade. Ganesha is absolutely beautiful and the colours are lush. The coverage on the Siamese fighting fish piece looks fantastic. I'm tempted to try 28 next
Thank you! I agree I love the colors on Ganesha! Even the background colors, they make the rest pop so much more! 28 count coverage is good with 1 over 1. Even the dmc black which tends to be thinner than the other colors.
I love your videos - I just want to say thank you for saying “xs on fabric” I’ve had a period of serious illness and haven’t been able to stitch on evenweave and it was getting me down - so I brought some Aida! And it’s all ok. The stitching brings me so much joy so thank you for that comment :)
Thank you so much! I'm so glad I was able to help you in anyway! I actually love stitching on Aida! So happy you are stitching again! Stitching brings me so much joy as well! Thanks for watching!
I'm all caught up now! I loved hearing your stitching plans. I like to organize and schedule my stitching to reach my goals too. I am not much of a planner/journal person, but I am trying a simple one this year. I write in my goals for each month, then mark the days when I reach a goal, start or finish a WIP, and any changes I make to my schedule or plans. I am retired (lucky me!) so I can work on several projects each day in different sessions. I also list and check off each WIP I work on each day, or not. I am doing a temperature piece so I also mark the daily temperatures then stitch on it once a week. I have a separate form for some of my WIPs where I track time and stitches done.
You make me envious of all your stitchy time! I love hearing how others plan out their stitching. I've always had a journal of sorts, simple to more complex. I love being organized. Thanks for watching!
Hi Vai - Happy New Year. So excited to see your work this year. Thank you for picking Ganesha. Oh those DMCs with the E are Light Effects (be careful - they are like working with Kreinik). I bought some Etoile this past couple weeks and it is fluffier than regular dmc so am curious to see ho it orks Glow in the Dark - cool! You are one ambitious little stitcher honey but oh I cannot wait to see how you get on this year. Your energy is always so inspiring!
Hi Tammy, than you for the advice on the light effects! I will be careful, maybe I'll use a thread conditioner? Ambitious or crazy! 😂 Thank you so much for your words! They encourage me!
I can’t wait to follow along on your journey this year, Vani! I’m especially excited to see the mystery stitch along and the Siamese Fighting Fish piece-I love the idea of using so many different types of threads in a full coverage piece. Happy new year! 🙂🪡🧵
Thanks Emily! I'm super excited about the Mystery SAL too! And can't wait to use the sparkly threads! So different for me, I've only ever used DMC with a little Krenik every once in awhile. Thanks for watching!
Hi Tiffany! All my apps are Android apps. I use Pattern keeper while I stitch primarily as a stitching to and it keeps track of my overall number and percentage of completion. I use aTimeLogger to track how long I stitch on a particular project. I can create a separate log for each project and start and stop the time log for each while I stitch on them. And lastly I use Cross Stitch Planner which allows me to track my progress on multiple projects with a visible progress bar for each! Hope these are useful for you! I love them. Thanks for watching!
I totally agree that stitching 1x1 is quite challenging on higher count fabric but the result is just worth it because of all the details. 😊 Love all your wips and great video as always! Looking forward to the next 😊

Great wips and new starts ❤️ Glow in the dark floss sounds like so much fun.
I'm curious about it too! Can't wait to stitch it then turn the lights out!

What apps are you using for tracking progress? Cool idea, and thanks for the intro to the new Etsy shop! Hope you have a good stitchy year.

Thank you Patrick! 1 over 1 is going to be a challenge but I'm determined to make it work!
I'm glad you like my WIPs!
