❤ Hello Old Iron!!!! Thanks for trying my Hex design disc. I will be sending a prototype product I think you will like!! Love your show, keep up the good work. Rick from Hex-On Abrasives ❤
Поздравляю с приобретением скутеров,жду новый интересный проект!А по поводу пикапа точно подходит народная поговорка: хочешь сделать хорошо-сделай сам.
That was a fairly lucky place to have the wheel go, could have been nearer home but quiet and straight is good, and the wiring made me laugh. All be good once you get it done. Nice holiday hurricane too!!
OIW, some stuff here and there. Bad Nut on lower control arm. cool looking Mopeds. glad the Hurricane didn't get everybody. Cool looking Crazy looking Door Knocker..
The shop truck is appropriately named since it spends so much time there😊 glad Jamaica turned out ok and yes we're all guilty of slop now and then but the battery under seat Brilliant! 😂 Thanks for sharing.
That wiring looked like a hurricane ,the ball joint looked like the aftermath of a hurricane,I believe you’ve stumbled across a new name for the truck.
I know that being stranded beside the road. While I could get myself out of trouble jacking my 63 Impala up and crawling under it fixing the transmission linkage temporarily in the heat of Wyoming, probably nearly the same day as you broke down, my daughter finally understood why my wife always carried TONS of drinks in the car. Liquid disapears quickly when an entire family is stuck beside the road in extreme summer heat. God bless my smart wife!
We experienced more in common than I liked. I had a shortage in my original wiring harness. Suddenly the car started honking in city traffic and the generator stopped working. The last day of the trip the battery gave up! My problems were most likely caused by evil mice who had chewed on the harness. Their tiny evil teeth did a great job causing electric gremlins without obvious visible damage to the cables. By the way, I am sending my 57 Maicoletta scooter to an auction soon. Hopefully someone is willing to pay a fair amount. I like the Lambrettas. I like them more than Vespas.
Welcome home Mr. Anderson. Looks like you got hit by Beryl twice aye. Once in Jamaica and again when you got home. We had it here two days ago. 3" of rain and 24hrs of wind. Not bad. Later Man 👊😎👍p.s. Lambretta ? Pictured you as a Rocker not a Mod ?!! " Quadrophenia" 🤣
@@Theoldironworkshop Have you ever seen the movie Quadrophenia ? You should. It's The Who's movie. Mods vs Rockers in 60s England. At least watch the trailer . Mods rode scooters. The Rockers rode motorcycles. Triumphs, BSAs, Norton's............. 👊😎👍
Of course I’ve seen it like a bunch of times. That and clockwork orange. I was never into the mod or rockabilly scene. Just a gearhead at heart. Punk ,ska oi music has always been my scene. I always liked the scooters because they are different from motorcycles. Kinda like a hotrod on two wheels.
Good Lord that wiring. I would honestly put everything under the dash and I wonder if you could use one of those special lightweight capacitor style batteries to put under the dash also….
ur gonna seam seal under that frame right lol. Dont need a water parkin the back of the caddy. As for the door knocker. That would be a cool pull for something in the back of the caddy.
OMFG That wiring is an absolute horror story. Just because the previous owner could do wiring doesn't mean he should of. LOL. I've had to remedy just that sort of mess for mates over the years in cars they've bought. I'm not am auto sparkie but was a telephone exchange technician in the 80's so I'm a bitch for tidy orderly wiring.
Yeah I wonder how many just went missing. That’s when men were men. Working in construction now is a nightmare of rules. Yes most of them are good. But still annoying sometimes
Rule #1. Never put wiring under rugs where there is walking traffic, Rule #2 Never put wiring on a metal base where it can short out & even arch and catch flammable items such as seat cloth
Hurricanes are small potato's too 400 state wide tornado's and 10 local hail thunder storms a year that happened when I lived on the Texas / Oklahoma border .
Hi there mate I hope you and Your loving wife had a great holiday and kids have a great time and safe holidays you guys win all you had a great time guys

That was a fairly lucky place to have the wheel go, could have been nearer home but quiet and straight is good, and the wiring made me laugh. All be good once you get it done. Nice holiday hurricane too!!
I was going take the highway and decided to take the country road instead. That was a good decision
OIW, some stuff here and there. Bad Nut on lower control arm. cool looking Mopeds. glad the Hurricane didn't get everybody. Cool looking Crazy looking Door Knocker..
Always check your nuts
The shop truck is appropriately named since it spends so much time there😊 glad Jamaica turned out ok and yes we're all guilty of slop now and then but the battery under seat Brilliant! 😂 Thanks for sharing.
Actually I think it was under the seat from the factory. But a stock seat flips up to access. This one however doesn’t
What a beautiful knocker. Glad you guys made it home safely.😊
Yes Laura love it. It was a 15 hour trip home due to delays.
Wow you had a bad week
Appreciate you sharing your highs and lows with us
Love your channel 👌
Thanks so much
little bit of everything in this video .. really enjoyed it.
glad the bride and yourself took a break from the hustle.
cheers from down under 🍻🤘
Thank you. I like to have bit of a mixed bag of tricks
NO SPLIT PIN in the lower balljoint, brilliant engineering !!!!!!
Yes today’s job is to fix that problem
That wiring looked like a hurricane ,the ball joint looked like the aftermath of a hurricane,I believe you’ve stumbled across a new name for the truck.
Ha! I like that.
I must say that all that wiring looks like my first stereo install when I was drunk
Oh I never got the stereo to work
We’ve all been there

Life without the wife would be rough
I so enjoy watching you employ your many talents with great explanations.. And your attitude!
Talent! Hardly. But a positive attitude changes everything.
I'm really digging the 40 Ford. Making me want one
45 years ago in Tech School
A good physical connection is a good electrical connection
Still remember that.... 😊
Yes. If it looks good. It is good
You are right about street rods drive and fix something daily but I love them

They all got gremlins

Maicoletta’ super cool. Yes mice are definitely a bummer
Do you remember that episode of "Davey and Goliath" when he neglected to install the cotter pin? And, What a knocker!
Ha! I should have found that clip and worked it in
c'mon 20k subs you are almost there - congrats dude you've earned it hope it explodes soon for ya
So close.
Thank you for trying Hex-on abrasives !
Thanks again!
Here's a tip. If you chop the top on that old truck and pin stripe over the rust it'll never ever break down. You believe me? 😆
Possibly
You had way too much fun this video. I had a bourbon in your honor to help ease the pain.
It’s all fun and games. And thank you
Andrew from NY, love your show, feel for you for that breakdown!
It’s all part of the fun
Thanks for the vid man.
You bet
Nice work! Too bad about the pick up and the ball joint.
You know things happen. It keeps life interesting

When I pull everything apart, this winter to do the chop and the upholstery I’ll put it probably under the bed.
Always an adventure!
Wouldn’t have it any other way
Omg that wiring is Crazy 😂
Like noodles

Nice KNocker!
Brother you seem calm I would of lost my shit😊
I’m a patient man. I live with all women. Have to learn not to make any sudden moves
Thanks,
You’re having some bad luck lately. Hope you get that truck as dependable as the car was. 😮
Ha! So far it is. Always broken
Two hour wait? Sounds like AAA. Every time I've needed them.......a two hour wait.
The funny thing is the same guy towed me 2 years ago.
Thanks!
Thank you
lol@21.50- you should have left it in storage a few more yrs.
How you found the nut is a mystery to me. Where ?
Too slow Joe found it about 100 yards back. I was amazed as well.

Yes I do low voltage wiring at work and try to be neat with it. But it’s easy to make a mess for sure

Did you ever here the true story about how many fell into the Concrete when they were poring n Died n same with the Golden gate Bridge too
Yeah I wonder how many just went missing. That’s when men were men. Working in construction now is a nightmare of rules. Yes most of them are good. But still annoying sometimes
Rule #1. Never put wiring under rugs where there is walking traffic,
Rule #2 Never put wiring on a metal base where it can short out & even arch and catch flammable items such as seat cloth
Rule #3 always have a fire extinguisher
@@Theoldironworkshop I got mine, 👍 goes without saying, Than again,.... 🤔😂
@@Theoldironworkshop I had to do the complete wiring, Even the fuse box & all the heat control cables were completely melted! 🤯
hi, and hmm. I am sure YOUR Mother told you- there would be days like this. lol
Yes just not so many in a row
HUH@13.10- I am surprised you did not split in the middle with a m/f step
Jamaica will be fun and much cooler lol, reliving my past is not going to happen lol. Buy an old car they said, you'll have fun they said. 🤔
It was relaxing after we found out we weren’t going to die

Oh yeah! It has been a busy year here for sure with tornadoes and hail. Definitely a interesting place to live
