No. We all knew. At least everyone whose been into k-pop since so long will know. We all know there is a lot of negative stuff related to the idol industry. Maybe coming into the American market will help the industry treat their idols better.
Korea and US are very far away, it's possible the management company in US lies about a whole lot of things and presumably have corruption inside as well. She stated they bought her, the group, luxury apartment which then dump all cost to them. JYPE Korea and even Japan, never dump their training and every additional cost to their trainees, unless it's their own extra expenses. It will be their debt after debut mostly with their music production itself. Even their rookie newest rookie group didnt live in such luxury where they actually could. There are clearly something going on in JYPE US and need to be audited by the mother company.
I think few years ago they's a news about one of the twice member only ate ice in order to lose weight during their trainee period? Most of the idols are so underweight especially with the new "idol standards" for the newer gen. Most of them are younger and taller and yet the weight didn't match them..just let the kids eat good healthy food since at the end of the day they'll burn the calories with dance etc
Let's normalize using JYPE instead of JYP. It's JYP Entertainment as a group with stockholder, producer, director, and staff. JYP isn't going to make all decision alone in his company with multiple bgroup and ggroup under his label. This is the same example if you take a corporate company with more than 200 people, where your termination decision is likely to happen inside your team (either with your team member or supervisor). The owner of the company or director might know or not know because they jusg accept monthly or yearly report of company growth.
Did anyone else ever think that the debt idols always owed was always a little suspicious. Like yeah, vocal coaches, dance coaches, plastic surgery, and makeup? Could become expensive and I guess the supposed food that they get but aren’t allowed to eat. But I always figured how weird it is that idols somehow owed extreme amounts of money like too much money. And their contracts are usually like split 80/20 or 90/19 to the company until they pay it off or something. I’m pretty sure these company expenses are just another way to exploit young people. Like does the company just add everything that is connected to an idol group in for expenses? I’m pretty sure as a company you’re supposed to cover something, marketing the group I don’t think is usually on western artists, that’s the reason they sign to a big company. I’m starting to think that kpop companies quite literally try to put every expense ever incurred for a group back onto the group. Which I don’t think makes sense. Also why were they tryna promote the group like a kpop group with super strict food restrictions, as long as they didn’t over eat I think that would’ve been fine, there’s quiet literally no reason to starve them. It’s actually so stupid
Many people in Taiwan already know about this. JYP really went too far with them. They thought that their sick training system in Asia would work in the US. They were abusing them. The point is that many of the members are underage!!! One member even tried to commit suicide by swallowing 40 pills!!! This is totally sick. I hope KG can win this lawsuit!!! There were a lot of reasons for suspending activities. JYP let them debut and then just abandoned them. I no longer believe in the nonsense that "JYP is better than other companies". It's really disgusting to see a company that promotes the beauty of humanity all day long. This is a serious problem. They make underage children work overtime and pay them the minimum wage which is not in line with the policy. They even abuse them, monitor them and even don't let them eat even if they have been dancing for 12 hours straight.
Yikes atleast im still aware of the harsh treatments they should have done a deep dive about kpop a dnthe dark side before they even signed up and entered
They knew what they were getting into. JYPE needs to stick to Asia. The difference in training, expectations, and reality is very different than what American or non Asians are used to.
I think people in the comments need to understand that there is more people in charge then just JYP. He is the face of JYPE I get that but at the most, he should be held accountable for not keeping an eye out on how JYPE USA is doing. People be acting like one person is controlling the whole company when the guy himself isn't even considered CEO. The sub companies should be punished and the main company itself should work on establishing a stronger system in keeping track of what is going on. That is what people should be stating instead of going around accusing one person after another. I'm deeply saddened by what happened to the members of VCHA and especially the idea of them trying to kill themselves is awful, but they themselves do not want people to go around accusing people of these mistreatments.
I saw your video but here is one big problem. And I saw this in a lot of videos about this topic. And the problem is this: we assume that what KG said is true. But the problem is that we don't know if what she said was true. Don't get me wrong. I don't blame her. But I think it should be normal for us to wait until an investigation is made, and the police should be involved, and after that we can say who is at fault. This is not the first video I saw on this topic and I read a lot of comments but I didn't find anyone who is more cautious. And I said that because is not the first time in kpop when an artist came and said something and later we found out that he/she was lying. I know that in K-pop are a lot of problems, but I don't think we fix the problem by jumping to the conclusion before the investigation. I think those who make videos or write about this topic should be more reserved.
Let's be real, JYP has been doing this to all artists. Not only JYP but other companies as well. Plus, since they're from different backgrounds, they're not used to the fact, this is how they create idols, with strict diets and all. For them, it's a mistreatment but when we look at Korean idols, they're doing the same thing all for the sake of popularity and being an idol
I don't mean to suggest something wrong but i think the member who tried to off themselves might be Kaylee. I thought so because jyp entertainment was so quiet about vcha and hadn't even posted a happy birthday for any of the members but for kaylees bday They posted.. Maybe this was their way of shushing the members This might sound dumb so please correct me
the member is not overreacting, nor being unprofessional. This might be a korean entertainment’s fault for applying the same schedule, but we have to note that other kpop idols are going through more hard schedules and situations.

This is exactly why kpop can’t be anywhere else besides Korea… EVERY kpop idol that’s made it “big” has all come out to talk about their training days… all of this isn’t new… it’s just being talked about more due to social media….. similar to super models….. they have to do the same thing especially their diets….. it’s a unspoken “rule”
Okay… I’m not saying this is okay… but that’s how kpop trainees and new kpop idols live… they have to repeat the same move over and over again to get it right. They have to go on insane diets. They have cameras in their dorms. They have to pay the company back for what ever was spent on them during pre-debut/debut. These are all thing that every kpop idol that debuts go through. And it’s no secret either… she should have done her research about how kpop idols are treated before she tried to become one.

Why blame jyp. He did nothing. He's not the ceo, not the manager, and the lawsuit is for STAFF of the JYPE USA. She THANKED J Y Park.
He is the majority owner. While he wasn't involved, his name is attached to the company so he should excercise better oversight or things like that will reflect badly on him.
@@SianaGearz Not knowing what's happening in your own company is crazy??

Jyp should’ve aimed to debut 18-25 year olds instead of kids. They could’ve made a fierce concept because that’s what America and Korea both like. General Americans don’t like the cute child concepts. It’s sad cause the girls are talented.

JYPE may not be blamed for the mistreatment but they surely SHOULD be blamed for not managing their sub companies properly.
KG has been reporting this issue and try to leave VCHA since MAY.
Parent company should always monitor their sub companies, at the very least, every three to four months.
They also have someone from the parent company be placed in the sub to help with monitoring and communication.
How big is JYP USA that the JYPE didn't even know there's a notice/report/complain made by a member of the ONLY group managed by JYP USA?
JYP USA is not an independent label of JYPE, it's a direct sub company. They are under JYPE. So whatever happen to that company, JYPE has 100% responsibility. Even if they don't directly involved.
(Example of independent sub company is The Black Label. paying $500,000 for a house that you don't even want to live in is crazy
And if they was housed in a standard or cheap house like other trainee/new debuts usually do (in the past), some will also say the company mistreated the group.
Because netizens standard nowadays is HYBE's groups housing treatment. Even a new debut could immediately live in a very nice apt.
So other company also did it to avoid being pointed at by netz.
Anyway, now adays,, everything will be a complain material for the netz.
Unfortunatelly she's not in a group like SKZ and Day6.i hope she will be in a new company who can let her create her own music even as new debutee and can gave her quick money flow. Clearly JYPE is not her place

JYPE is known for their strict diets. Actually Korean Entertainments are so strict especially for idols. We never know what idols go through just to be what they have now. 😅😅😅
She's mentioning about JYPE USA which is a subsidiary. Not the one in korea
Doesn't mean it's okay since it's the norm
No. We all knew. At least everyone whose been into k-pop since so long will know. Cause there's already lots of seniors who shares their experience and stuggle during trainee era, debut and during their active time.
And it's not only k-pop tbh, all entertainment industry in the world is harsh.
This is a modern day, informations is everywhere in the nets.
Now i wonder if those people who wants to get into k-pop (entertainment indusrty overall) really don't know what they are getting into?
And JYPE, i think they just need to stop venturing outside korea. Just focus all your management in korea. They failed once, now this is gonna fail too. If you're familiar with korean work ethic, just stay there. It'll be good to keep JYPE's culture just like JYP said in an interview.

@My_life_yay Do you know how Vcha was formed? JYP the person was heavily involved with them. He had a hand in the formation of the group.
Btw the member that tried to overdose is kaylee 😢
Shes so young how dare jyp do this to them
VCHA WOULD'VE BEEN SO BIGG IT'S STRESSING ME OUT SM
How sad😢. Poor girls
Then there's YG releasing bops and SM giving Irene's debut. They're just chill and doing what an entertainment company should do
Wait until 2025 we wouldn't know what will happen this JYP situation is really unexpected so expect the unexpected
no company is innocent
If u think any rich person in the entertainment industry in any country is innocent, then that's sad really
Well thats kpop.. it’s not only them, but all go through it. However in Korea they praise idols when they do it, in the US its seen as problematic.
Remember not JY Park it’s JYPE the company
I didnt wvem know about this group until now
Many people in Taiwan already know about this.
They blame the American branch of JYP not JYP or JYPark
Yikes atleast im still aware of the harsh treatments they should have done a deep dive about kpop a dnthe dark side before they even signed up and entered
It’s almost like the kpop industry has been corrupt forever
That's how it is with kPop agencies. Did KG not know what she was going into?
They knew what they were getting into.
JYPE needs to stick to Asia.
The difference in training, expectations, and reality is very different than what American or non Asians are used to.
I will always love K-pop but something needs to be done about the treatment of idols, it’s disgraceful
They were too young when casted and lack visual and talent. Its sad jyp sold them a lie and he knew from the beginning
I don't mean to suggest something wrong but i think the member who tried to off themselves might be Kaylee.
I thought so because jyp entertainment was so quiet about vcha and hadn't even posted a happy birthday for any of the members but for kaylees bday

JYP and j.y.park is probably one of the best companys and person in kpop. It's not JYP or j.y.park it's JYPE USA, the american version
